there are people that do not know me...this is for them... I realize since Dihm has met me and we and a few other SoR memebers have chatted. he decided to fast track my application, thank you Dihm. HOWEVER, for those people that dont know me i am called Togg Bott. i have used this name for more years than most gamers have been on this planet. i always use the same name.. every game. i want people to remember me. no, i'm not a viking.... HOWEVER i have been informed by one of your members that as a Blackfoot Indian i am a dirty enough savage....and i absolutely LOVE alcohol. my prefered drink is beer with a Bourbon chaser. gulp and gulp. so yes... i will probably be somewhat intoxicated when you chat / play alongside me. i LOVE speed, the faster the better i think there is nothing more fun and funny than screaming through a enemy line with my hair on fire... i do this cause i know my team is coming in behind me to capatilize on the fact that the enemy is now faceing the wrong direction. i dont care about getting kills and being a UBER 1337 player(not even sure i did that correct) i do play to have fun... but i will if needed sacrafice my mech to get a friend/buddy/corp mate out of a tight spot. thats just how i roll. if i didnt answer your questions... let me have them... i'm willing and ready

Once Again Togg Bott is going to defy classification. my play style as some knw... is speed, speed and oh, did i mention SPEED?. i'm prolly gonna run a cicada but i am NOT a recon mech. i dont scout, dont plan on loading up ant scout related wquipment.. i run... flat out. i WANT the enemy to see me coming. i want them to know that i am a viable target.. then i want them to piss their pants cause they missed me due to my speed.should i be put into the recon lance... prolly... but i'm not a scout... unless i gets orders to be that... inwhich case.... its a nother ball game

Togg, I'm in the 2nd Battalion, and as leader of my Striker groups our tactics consist of speed, ambushing, and guerilla warfare. If you'd like to give our unit a whirl, I'm sure you would fit in nicely. Did I mention we were looking for a medium hardass?

Hey all! Haven't applied yet, but very interested in doing so. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a long-time BT player; I got one of the original Battletech black and white boxes back in I want to say 1985-6, and was immediately hooked. My group played for the next few years, before we all moved away, got married, joined the military - you know, all that boring growing up stuff. I've played the boardgame, and pretty much every PC Mechwarrior game, including MegaMek and it's variations.. I'm not saying all that experience has made me an awesome pilot, but I tend to know which way to point the lasers! Personal stuff, I've been married for 17 years, have two very active boys that usually make their Dad a busy man, and I work in IT. I'd like to get active in MWO, although I'm not sure how many nights I'll actually have free, which is the only reason I pause to join a unit. Weekend days are very often bad for me, but most weeknights (outside of a couple during soccer seasons) I'm generally ok. So that's it in a nutshell. I' a pretty laid-back guy, and I'm not as competitive as I used to be (I used to lead a couple of clans when I was active in Starsiege and Tribes), but I still play to win, while having fun. If any of this presents a potential problem with me joining up with you guys, just let me know. I think it'd be a blast to play MM and MWO with you guys, from the sound of it.
Welcome to the forums Wulfen! Most of us "play to win", because winning is what makes it fun! You actually sound like you'd be a good fit within the unit, but we'd have to give you the Skjaldborg Inquisition(read Application). However, we do require you to be active on the forums, no so much posting all the time, but at least checking up on the site once or twice a day, as many important announcements are displayed there. If this sounds like something you can do, then it may not be so hard for you after all
Good on you mate, welcome to our corner of the internet. I can really respect that you actually posted on our forums BEFORE applying. Like Trevnor said, we're a more laid back group in terms of what we expect. If, as you look around, you like what you see then there's probably a good chance you'd fit in here. We don't mandate play times or anything like that because we understand real life comes first. That being said, look around and see if you like what you see. Feel free to post as much as you'd like, even before being a member, and PM our members with questions if you have any.
