May not be everyone's cup of tea, I'll admit, but I had an awesome time with it whether I was playing coop with someone I knew, random strangers I happened to ally with in the DZ, or running around solo.
Open Beta this weekend. Should be able to predownload everything starting today. Aside from some bug fixes it will be mostly the same content that they used in the closed beta, so bear that in mind if you were in that. I may hop in for a bit of time regardless to continue to get a feel for the guns and play with any of you who choose to explore it
Their season pass is confusing. So you don't have to pay to get the seasonal content, but they still have a season pass.
It has been confusing, I'll grant you that. The benefits of the pass announced thus far are: 7 day early access to the 3 major releases happening over the next several months Character and base of operation visual upgrades Access to 8 bonus directive missions unavailable to non season pass holders Immediate access to three new specializations as they release (psesumably as opposed to an unlocking process for the 4th, 5th, and 6th specializations)
They do not really advertise that you dont have to buy the season pass to get the content. I feel like a lot of people are going to think they have to.
You do for what I listed. You do not for the actual episodes/game modes listed as the three major chapters. I agree it is more nebulous than it should be.
$30 for that seems... Off. Either way, I'm excited to do the mess about with it. Game is catching my interest more and more, I just need to play it
Not gonna disagree, but I will say it has done 0% to curb my desire to play. I'm not going to go overboard quite yet, but I am initially quite optimistic based on what I've seen, read, and experienced myself in the beta.
I played the closed beta for about 15 hours and really enjoyed it. Been meaning to do a highlight post in this thread of the content and features that will be in at launch but haven't had the time. I will say that I think I am going to have a lot of fun with it. Seems like they really applied their learnings from Division 1
