Star was lasers aren't lasers, they're plasma. Also, if it was powerful enough, a laser sniper rifle would be better(Longer range, no ballistics drop), but for sheer stopping power, gauss rifle, even if it's only for infantry
i meant with the "light" pretty much showing where sniper is. even though the light itself is not the actual "laser". from what i understand it's just a visual representation of where the actual "laser" is and even then i think it's a little slower or faster then the actual "laser", either way the marker is really close. basically the light part you see is a tracer. and i think the more powerful you make a laser the more tibanna gas it consumes thus less "ammo". and if it is more powerful it wears stuff out faster (barrel and all that. you think energy weapons would have less wear then ballistic. but then theres all the focusing lens and all that crap.)
Star Wars lasers, still aren't lasers. The hits only occur when the light bit hits the target, not before. Actual lasers? Basically invisible, unless in heavy smoke, dust, or water.
Ever think they are just making the game to look really nice and shiny so people just blindly spend money fully knowing the game will tank after a month or so after release which is what they want because people already spent the money, DLC for money offers new "experiences". And servers cost money so the more copies they sell with only needing bare minimum amount of servers for the shortest possible amount of time so they can maximize profits.
i know they arn't lasers. heres the description from wookieepedia. also Blasters rapidly displaced the slugthrower as the primary infantry weapon owing to their greater ammunition capacity, power, and lighter ammunition compared to slugs. However, slugthrowers were still considered to be more useful than blasters in certain environments, such as exceptionally humid locales like jungles which might destroy a blaster's delicate internal components.[12] Slugthrowers could also be silenced more easily than blasters and did not produce a visible bolt
Its intriguing me to me that so many of you seem to derive increasing amounts of energy from being ever more cynical and outwardly joyless.
something like this seems like it would be more effective basic problem of course being that while a standard light saber is difficult to disable (without taking off a hand as well) any form of axe saber would cause the weapon itself to be more vulnerable to strikes designed to disable it or destroy it leaving you defenseless. Unless you could create some kind of curved blade I really see no good way to make a light saber axe that wouldn't suffer that weakness.
I also notice the "every lightsaber has to be personally handcrafted by the jedi owner" response... that seems to be a contradiction to some official/semi-official lore as well... not to mention basic fucking common sense.
episode 2 contradicts that quite well with the younglings using training lightsabers. I think the whole making their own weapon is only a part of their trial to become a jedi knight. because during the clone wars (supposedly) alot of jedi lost their lightsabers. and i think till a jedi learned to make their own they had to use one made by someone else. I mean anakin was probably using ones made by obi-wan for awhile. most of the padawans certainly arn't going to be taught how to make an extremely deadly weapon when they are 2 or however the fuck old they are (on average)
i'm betting that none of us are going to enjoy episode 7 at all. we are just too practical now. every other line we'll be going "goddammit disney. that makes no logical/practical sense. learn 2 science. noobs"
