What is your tag Aspius? I'd love to get a COMPETENT group together to run challenging missions and hit DZ5 and 6.
If you want to hit 30 as fast as possible, do all story missions at appropriate level on normal difficulty, they give 44.4% of the level they are geared towards. then do the grey side quests and skip all the supply missions, the side quests that give no supplies are worth 2x the xp.
also, lets all take a moment of silence for Noble Squad. the story in this game is quite good and well told. I'm very engaged in the whole First Wave stuff.
writing is really good in this game - o7 noble squad even just the random npc chatter is varied and interesting also better not hope you get in a pug for the rest of your daily, haha, took me over an hour last night to complete that last stage with a pug (didn't start until midnight). fucking shotgunners...
yeah the 2 hard mode dailies are cakewalks solo, the 1 challenge mode daily can be a pita if your group isn't working well together
I don't think I've ever been more impressed by the story (over-arch and sub-text) of a game. Some of the side missions really hit you in the feels. Nospoiler: The Alexis Kwan Missing Person mission in particular.
Did the apartment mission solo for the daily thinking the daily timer was how long I had to complete it so I was rushing. Ended up discovering an almost cheat way to deal with the thing. You can skip past the first group of baddies on the rooftops prior to the helicopter showing up just by running past the group. They didn't follow and could be mopped up later at your convenience. Also learned something about snipers: get close. They switch to a pistol if you're ever within 10m or so and don't hurt nearly as bad.
This is very necessary in DZ5 and 6. The 32 elite snipers there can 1-shot you down and I have 80k health.
There is enough chatter about the game that I am tempted to purchase it, but wonder how long our notoriously-short attention span will remain focused on this game. Verdict? Will we still be playing this in two weeks? A month?
