I thought the objective was to save humanity? Is that bad? Havent finished install yet, but it's looking to be one of the TOP PC games opening sale of all time. Of course those stats are always subject to interpretation.
Slowly moving up in the world. Think I'll try the Darkzone for my bracket. That pistol headshots for about 3k and the rifle.. crits skulls for 22k. Plus: Super-awesome Bold Pom-pom Beanie, "Cool" Turtleneck, and Modern Shemag. +3 set bonus to rustling.

had a great time running around with varg, aspius, and haki tonight, next time we should do some Dark zone stuff. I ran in there a little bit and had a blast, even just by myself.
I wasn't interested in this game at all. I bought it cause it looked like it would be fun playing with others. It's been a lot of fun. Way better then I expected and most of the time have been spent playing solo.
A classic m44 carbine... Aka mosin Nagant.. Does it have the bayonet attached to the actual rifle or not? If it is actually part of the rifle it's a m44 if it's a addon like the regular rifle it's a m38
Yep. Side-folded spike bayonet. And possibly the highest-per-shot damage marksman rifle. I think the shotguns hit harder in total, but the game has them operating like they have 3" barrels.
For players, the 32 elite mobs with shotguns that rush you deal damage at a range like they're firing slugs. I got downed by one from 50m once. took 1/3 of my health, and I have 80k health!
That's very odd they choose the m44 as it is one of the rarer models instead of the standard 91/30 model. They were also more accurate with the bayonet extended and felt recoil was much greater. Also corrosive ammo is a bitch for mosin nagants, but I guess you don't have to worry about what ammo you use in a pseudo realistic FPSMMO. would rather have a 300 win. mag for a marksmen rifle or should I say sniper. I have yet to play a FPS that accurately portrays a shotgun as it is in real life.
Went in to the dark zone this evening solo. I was doing okay, staying away from other players, killing a few badguys, etc, and saw an extraction going on. So thinking that I might be able to get a couple of items too, I ran up and went to put my own stuff up, and immediately got shot by the other players and had everything stolen. I have no idea what possessed me to think they might not be hostile.
I've actually yet to run into a single hostile player in the dark zone. I've seen other groups but they just leave me alone or kill mobs with me at evac spots.
Yeah, for the most part people will leave you alone because the penalties for going rogue are massive when you get higher up. I have accidentally gone rogue 4 times (gotta stop tossing molotovs when I'm soloing) and got away 3 of the 4 times. Each of the times I 'succeeded' at evading, i got <100 xp and credits. the one time i died, i lost 7.5k credits and 5k xp.
