New Mode – “Hoops” The patch (scheduled for release late April), will bring the all-new, basketball-inspired game mode to the Rocket League community. “Hoops” will be available in Exhibition, Private Match or new Casual Playlist that pits players against each other in a 2v2 showdown. Expanded primary color palette to give players more options for their Blue and Orange cars, including Green colors for the Blue Team. Added “DFH Stadium (Stormy)” and “Urban Central (Dawn)” to all casual/competitive playlists. Added all-new “Octagon” arena to the “Rocket Labs” playlist. Crates! So the breakdown here is that you can set many presets, and set different presets for blue/orange teams instead of only having 1 set up for all, this is fun for people who care about fashion league (I do). Bigger thing, they've added rarer and cooler stuff like animated skins, different models of the same cars. Unfortunately some of these exotic things are locekd behind a crate and key system ala Counter Strike. You can get crates in game as random game rewards, but you can't open unless you buy a key with real moneys. Its all cosmetic, so you don't need to. I did buy $5 of keys because I like the game enough to do so, got myself a sweet Xdevil mod and an animated dragon skin so far. Screenshots:
You'll either be a little 'meh' or you'll love it. I love it, its easy to pick up, but extremely difficult to master, there's always learning to be done. Once you master some of the basics the game becomes a loooot better, but the very start can be a little frustrating.

For its 2 year anniversary (can't believe its been that long). Rocket League released a patch that added alot more options with customization
