i still have the coordinates for Rasalhague. will join you guys tonight after i get rid of visiting family
You will need the mods installed to make use of them, but I believe you can create a character and log in without them. I tried it just now and was able to create a new character on DasServer without having the mod installed. Server is running (for now): Simple Character Creation Extender Avali Race (Described by the author as "Raptor Nomads". Edit: Added: Industrialization Persistent Farmables Patch for Industrialization + Persistent Farmables Felins (Catgir- er.. people, in space) Novakids (Like the beta-pledge race) Kemono (Canine/Vulpine race)
Also, the light drone mod seems to work. Interestingly, I was running it locally while on your server and got no problems. http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/lightdrones.675/
At Varg's Request. To get the Kemono Mod working properly you will need to replace the ship files with the ones from the Avali race mod so that your client matches the server. Other wise you will have one very fucked up looking ship. Go to your Starbound folder (Most likely in steam) Go into the following path in the mods folder "mods>avali>ships>avali". Select and Copy the three files you find there. Ctrl+c. Return to the mods folder and follow the path "KemonoRaceMod>ships>kemono". Ctrl+v and Replace every file when propmted. You're now good to go.
Recommending a mod for the server. http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/hoverbikes.758/ It's pretty cost expensive right now because it requires the blueprint for a human mech. I'm going to see about changing that to something else. Like 10k pixels or something, mech blueprints are way to damn hard to find.
I am not pleased with Industrialization. The features are interesting but tedious with little to no payout that I see (other than doubling the output of ore and the occasional nifty device). Details and documentation on the mods main page are slim-to-none. And to top it all off, by default, it nukes the ores available in the universe and replaces them with it's own. Gems and Tin are great.. Until you hit Delta and need to find other stuff but end up with 3-5 stacks of 1000 of the starting area ores. I'll give it til Monday. If someone can point me in the right direction to edit the ore populations on the MP server to better cooincide with vanilla and make the IND. ores a little less... invasive, I'll leave the mod on.
Current Mods: LINKAGE 7zip'd "starbound\mods" from the server. Just extract directly into your \starbound\ folder.
Server updated to beta v. Enraged Koala. I attempted to force-update the mods to this version (by editing the modinfo files). We'll see if that's enough.
Re-uploaded: Current Mods Includes 'official' updates to most of the mods, however, a lot of them have not been updated yet. I manually updated the ones that haven't been fixed by their authors. Expect another update to this thread soon. Keep an eye out for cool mods you think would be fun on the server.
New mods for the hotfixed client. Something broke in the Avali race mod, so it is not included on the server. fix'd
"DO NOT use a mod manager to install this, it will break. ALWAYS DELETE the /avali folder before upgrading to a new version" From the page. Not sure if that's the problem. Checked around the forums and people seem to be running this mod fine in current version Koala.
Hey can I.... can I get your wolf's head and crossbones flag from your sig without the wolf's head on it? I want to throw on that demon's skull I made a while back for the in house tournament and see how it looks at that small an image size.... assuming I can find the skull png.
They're still working on the progression system for the next big update. Should be no more than a couple more weeks. It includes things like farming for money and so forth. Should give the game more variety than it has now. They also want to remove the current sector system and make everything on one big galaxy map, with a seperate area for pvp. No ETA on that one.
