Ive played about 20 hours of the beta so far and I do like the basic ship combat model. It is getting tweaked and balanced but I find it fun. It has a good damage system and most the weapons feel good. The ship leveling and skill selection gives even the same chassis different roles depending on how you build them. I think this game will have some legs if the campaign is good. I also think the multiplayer will keep being fun especially with 4 races.
I am liking it alot, I really like the slow down system for single/multiplayer that helps when things get chaotic. As for the campaign I really liked the introduction missions included in the Beta, and the concept art cutscenes look and feel really good.
Just preordered the game after having watched 20 hours of youtube play Really loved the TT, but I'm unsure it will actually run on my current rig.
After watching the gameplay (especially single player campaign), I'm very satisfied. Bought it today. Really liked their attention to detail in terms of crew/ship upgrades and whatnot. In many ways, the story mode gameplay reminds me of "Nexus: The Jupiter Incident" which was EXCELLENT! (case in point: it was the first space RTS I played that actually used semi-realistic Newtonian physics)
Im planning to get this within 2 weeks (the preorder offer is till valid). Is there any codes/vouchers for this game atm? Waiting for new and BETTER videocard...
I think i need to make atleast 2 Chaos fleets, 1 to match my TT fleet and 1 for the fun. Nurgle all the way. (With Desolator Battleship, NOT Despoiler even if ordnance is kind of OP now)
Man, I wish I could join you guys; but alas I will have to enjoy this vicariously. The graphics look way cool.
Do the Eldar have to obey the "Solar wind" rule that I used to remember. I assume Nova cannon rules got finalized?
Check out this site for cheap deals: https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=battlefleetgothicarmada Usually there is some deal for all the games you can imagine, it's like steam sales all the time.
Playing a bit today to blow off some steam. Really like how the RPG leveling & upgrade mechanic works even in skirmish mode.
it's killing the reviews, sounds like and looks like a fantastic game. excited to hear how the campaign is. can't pick it up atm, moving in a few weeks so new purchases are under heavy wife scrutiny, but this looks like it has some serious replayability
