    MW5 is now up for preorder through the Epic Store, $23 for the standard game and $28 for the deluxe version. Even if you don't mind using and supporting Epic, with prices like this you have to be incredibly hardcore to keep the early preordered version from PGI for basically only early access.

    That is a huge price cut. Beta access isn't worth $27 (I think the standard preorder was $50).

    Interesting, when I look at it on my desktop it also says $49.99 & $59.99 but my phone says $22.99 & $27.99 no idea what is causing that to happen.

    Part of me was wondering about regional pricing given that I'm in central asia these days, but that was pulled up through wifi both at work and at home while my laptop on the same network shows the higher prices.

    I only looked on my phone on 2 different browsers and saw the 49.99 and 59.99. I don't even think regional would account for that much of a difference.

    Title is "fortnite kids react to mechwarrior 5".

    Apparently a fair number think it is just a paid version of fortnite (because they added mechs to fortnite for mw 5 advertising). And it's not getting anyone interested in battletech universe. Good job PGI for failing to get new blood. I mean if people are thinking it just paid fortnite that does not bode well for new blood.

    Nope. That's why they were added. Well Epic and PGI arn't saying that. But it is a pretty good bet that's why they added them to try to get fortnite players interested in buying MW 5. It's also the speculation by fortnite players. The mech in fortnite did come out about the time PGI "announced" the epic exclusive.

    It's backfiring. It seems fortnite players don't want mechs in fornite.

    The tweet is EGS saying MW 5 available for preorder. I think even adults who might know what mechwarrior is are against it.

    Epic says it added them so less skilled (casual players) can win.

    Yea, when I look into this fiasco, its all on Russ Bullock. At this point, I feel that if PGI wanted to try to regain a good relationship with us, they should fire Russ and replace him with someone more qualified for the job and less of a drunkard.

    So the MWO community is mad at PGI (ie. Russ) for going to EGS, and the majority of kids who use EGS are mad at MW5 for supposedly ruining their Fortnite?

    Wow.. just wow.

    (on a side note, I forgot how stupid kids are sometimes)
