Yasuke (another netflix anime) is actually pretty decent. and there are mechs in feudal Japan, and a black samurai, and benders... actually I don't what the fuck is going on but it works. somehow. Or maybe they are more exo skeletons.

Man, I know the Fallen are supposed to be Always Chaotic Stupid and all, but seriously how many times are they going to try throwing their entire army against Diablo before they figure out that never works?

"this guy is screwing around with HIS HAREM?!?!? I'm going to murder them all!" meanwhile he messes around with his own harem all the time.

It’s even worse when you factor in that there’s an ever increasing number of his harem who can pull off the same thing. They must know their demon lord is his personal pet.

Wow, I was hoping that something would come of the Chekhov's Gun they set up with One For All at the beginning of this arc but I wasn't expecting that.

Watchin' Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life. It's an isekai about a girl who aspires to be completely unremarkable, so she asks The Goddess to make her stats totally average. Which The Goddess interprets as meaning the median between the weakest NPC in the game and the most powerful Elder Dragon. So she keeps accidentally using spells that nobody else knows and deadlifting horses and stuff like that.

That actually answered a lot of questions I was considering.
Like, what happened to the previous One for All's quirks, they mentioned it enhancing and passing down, but All Might never seemed to use any quirk but the one. Kinda stands to reason that the other quirks would also be passed down.
I like that one, it's cute. Personally though I'd like to see one where the guy gets nothing at all, but perseveres by abusing the characteristics of an MMO, without having insider knowledge as is so common. The 'I know everything there is to know about this world' trope is kinda common. Would like to see someone figure it out posthumously (yes, it's an Isekai, it's implied they died first) through trial and error. They kinda touch on it in Mushoku Tensei, but it progresses to ludicrous far too quickly. They're still better about it than most, the 'hero' (dubious given his original character) makes some very serious mistakes rather frequently and still has a lot to learn. They just ramped him up to 11 and he's gotta deal with the crowd he's found himself in without the experience normally associated with that level.

For the moment at least I'm on a bit of a "stupidly overpowered protagonist" kick. I don't love a good underdog story but watching something where the hero just constantly wins without trying is quite cathartic.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of One Punch Man, it can be quite amusing to see just how troublesome being the strongest actually is. I'd just really like to see the other side of the coin, too.

Whoops, I said the opposite of what I meant about underdogs, but yeah. OPM gets the casual badass character perfect. Saitama's just kinda there doing whatever and mostly the focus is on either the other heroes looking cool or him just living his life however he wants since he can.

We knew what you meant, context kinda made it difficult for that to make any kinda sense XD. Yeah, from a story standpoint, the other heroes are there just to show how absurdly badass Saitama is. Oh, look how hard these superpowered badasses are getting beat! (Saitama shows and bitch slaps the baddy entirely by accident and blows it away) Huh.

So continuing the theme I caught a few episodes of Cautious Hero since there's a dub of it and I can let it play on the other monitor while I grind out skills for Burning Crusade. This show's hilarious and it seems like they went to lengths to westernize the campy gag dialog. Per the name, the hero spends the first week grinding up to level 15 before even going into the first area, so when he meets a level 1 slime he's orders of magnitude more powerful than it and kills it without effort or risk. And then he kills it again, even harder. Just to be sure. And then he nukes the site from orbit. Multiple times. All the while The Goddess is in the background pleading with him to stop.

Ed: and that's done. It was short but just as long as it needed to be.

The twist at the end where he almost saved the world but didn't because he didn't consider one unexpected possibility caught me by surprise. Since the show set it up so that whatever paranoid preparation he did paid off in the exact specific way he expected I just took for granted that he was the consummate planner type and that was all there was to it.

The King being corrupt instead of merely Cursed with Awesome was pretty good too, since aside from the hero nobody saw it coming, even though all the way back at the beginning the priest secretly being an undead minion turned out to also be right.

But didn't he say he also had no quirk? It would make sense that it is similar to all for one just one for all seems to not take other quirks other than the one it's user had? I'm guessing on that part that it can't take someone else's quirk.

and to the one where the MC get's nothing.

Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!

is kinda like that. I haven't gotten that far into it yet. But it's not an Isekai. He can still log out. And he can't reset/reroll his character. any titles he gets he's stuck with (even the negative titles). Oh and stuff is turned up as realistic as it can be in the game. Show is on Funimation no idea if it is anywhere else yet.
