Kickstarter: Tides of Numenera (Planescape Torment "Spiritual" Successor) Some people may interested in this, I'm debating pledging: Kickstarter page
I pledged my $110 on it. Loved PS:T and hoping they can do the same with this one and the lore of Numenera that they did with the original.
Same guys who did the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter, the sneak preview videos of that are looking good, so they have some cred going for them aside from just their previous older projects.
Love where Wasteland 2 is headed, and confident in this team. They've got my $20, I would have been happy to give 'em that much for the game, and it's even better to see this helping get it developed in the first place. The degree of personal investment that they're making into this project also inspires confidence. InXile really seems like a poster child for how to run projects through Kickstarter.
Lol, at 1:30 PM on the first day, they have $729,589 of 900k they're asking for. This ones going to 2-3 mil I think at least.
An interesting note for anyone who missed the Wasteland 2 KS: if you pledge $45 to this you get both Torment and Wasteland 2.
These guys are becoming my favorite RPG studio, just have to wait and see if they deliver on the magic! The Wasteland 2 gameplay video has me feeling very optimistic.
I've kickstarteredered both Wasteland and this, both looking good. Also new lighting demo, the fluidity of the character animation and the water is very nice improvement over the traditional D&D engine.
They also added a new add-on, some people may be interested: $12 - Digital Numenera Torment Sourcebook (Add-on EXCLUSIVE): Monte Cook will be adding a tabletop supplement to Torment to the Numenera product line. This will be a roughly 160-page sourcebook that details the major areas of the game, along with optional rules (like the Tides), creatures and items of Torment, and the major characters. Digital copies of this sourcebook are available only as an add-on.
