somehow... and please dont ask me how... i borked my system, and had to use a system recovery point to even get the comppy to boot up... unfortunately that didn't include the recently down loaded game of Archage.... so now i am RE-DOWNLOADING the whole thing... again Edit:... Elves...i may step down to that level eventually, i usually play Humans. or dirty Dwarves
ok.. so far i have been playing a human, and having a freaking blast...that may be due to the fact i bought in and right now i am considered a patron, so i can build farms that cant be robbed, and a house that cant be broken into, plus i do gain labor points back twice as fast as those that are FtP. i have a Human Mage , he does fuck tons of damage, but is fragile and squish as a sponge . early game he is damn near invincible, but now he is doing a LOT of running away, this is definitely NOT a solo game, whether you have a solid,steady group of people running with you, or if you rely on who ever is available, you NEED a party for a lot of the quests.even though, i'm having fun. EDIT: i am now a Wanted man and if a player kills my character i will have to go to court... it was just too damn tempting, some one planted 100 cotton plants in the woods and i stole the whole thing, i may have also slaughtered a few dozen of the geese he had hidden in there as well.
Good to hear, how have the rest of you guys been enjoying it? I tried for a few hours to get the beta to work but for some reason it won't run properly for me, hopefully it gets sorted before release.
I got a few characters to level 15 or so. It was hard to get used to the combat after playing wildstar. The game grew on me. I I like the skill and combo system. The game has a great fantasy, steampunk open word feel to it. I got a rowboat, glider, horse, couple swords and a set of heavy armor. I didn't want to log off. I can see myself getting into the trading and protection Biz. Im looking forward to launch. Let's build an empire!
Yeah, having played Wildstar last, which had a great combat system but more traditional style questing dungeons and progression, it'll be cool to play something more sandbox-y. We need to build a Skjaldborg Viking warship and sing Viking drinking songs while pirating!
a Guild Galleon loaded up for Pirate Hunting (or Pirating) with as many people on board as possible would be more fun than most of us here deserves. As a side note, i finished this round of beta test ( yes i was wrong, only the Alpha guys get to play/test continuously) at level 23 with a progression of 99.97% towards level 24. i also have 49 gilda coins (one short of whats needed to get the Clipper ship).
Huh... as an Alpha tester I thought I might have access to the Beta servers. But I could only access the Alpha and Omega servers.
