Vitalism is terrible in non-magic builds. This is due to how magic and physical damage scale based on your weapon type. If you're using a physical damage weapon like a sword Vitalism will be useless because it's skills scale on magic weapon damage. If you use a magic damage weapon like a Staff or a Scepter then Battlerage and Shadowplay will be useless for the opposite reason. I know, I was all over the Paladin when I first picked up the game. I learned first hand how useless Vitalism without a magic damage weapon is.
So, I played up to like, level 3, and the soundscape and general feel... this is way too asian for me.
Ah that sucks, I was hoping you could actually play anything and make it work. Thanks for the heads up and explaining the mechanics. Yeah, for me as well. I'd say give it a couple hours it does get pretty fun, and for me it's easy to overlook when the game world is pretty well done and the game is pretty sandboxy. My biggest gripe is this stupid "labor points" system. Oh man I haven't seen a system of limitations so horrible in an MMO before! This one thing alone may kill it for me. That, and learning about the class system not being as open as it appears.

Yeah, I plan to play open beta and I think I'll make my decision as to whether or not I play on release then. The game doesn't seem playable to me with a free account.
