Arma 3 Bootcamp

In a pinch I can fly a Little Bird or Wildcat, but I'd much rather leave it to others that have more practice.

 

Give me my treds and I will collect all your enemies heads.

 

Give me a rifle and, er.. I'll have a rifle.

I think group-movement and awareness are next up for training. Medical too, if just the basics.

Gihz, do you want to wait until we've got a fire-team of trainees to send out or should we stick to the 'whoever's-here' approach?

soooo, any of you "instructors" free tonight or tomorrow night for some funtimes? i'd like to start getting into some arma action with you guys but my multiplayer arma experience is entirely limited to dayz mod/standalone/A3epoch (which i've been playing for years). i suspect those games have given me a solid base but i'd like to make sure i'm more familiar with the more militaristic aspects of arma before stumbling around the wasteland server or joining up for a tuesday session making a fool of myself

 

I would love to but I'm swamped with house work and I've got a test on Friday. I can probably do it on Monday night if nobody else can before then.

 

next week would work fine too, i'm just out of town for the weekend

should work great. might need to take a break around 8CST/9EST to help the wife put the kid to bed but not sure how long these things usually even take.

Apologies again for not being able to get a game running. I'm working on setting up a Boot Camp server on my PC, just having trouble getting everything configured correctly. I'll let you know when I can get things going.

 

any luck getting the server set up? know its only been a day or so, but i picked up the DLC bundle this morning and am now much excite for that ASP-1

 

I didn't really work on it last night because I was playing around with DLC myself. I've got some more house work to do this week but if nothing else we can jump on the GHOST server that's running ALiVE and do some things there. Tomorrow night looks like my best shot before the weekend, I'll try to make sure things are set later tonight before I go to bed.

I'd say go ahead and start downloading the mod pack for the GHOST server since whether we use it this week or not there will definitely be some more scripted type missions run on there in the future.

Arma is greatly pissing me off. I cannot get anything to work to be able to host a game. I'll have to postpone any kind of boot camp until I can get somebody who know what they're doing to figure this god forsaken shithole of a server system out.

 

I've got lots of house work to do this weekend but if you can do Monday night we'll get a quick walkthrough done on the GHOST server.

 

You can always go back to the classical way of trial by fire.

 

grabbin some evening beers with a buddy after work tomorrow, not entirely sure what time (still gotta nail the details down) but once i know i'll touch base. i installed the mods on the ghost server thread, hopefully correctly, so should be pretty good to go

 

beer plans at the bar got postponed so I'm now free for beers and video games anytime tonight
