The Lunatic tracks are still fairly quick. And the Nomads are above average. You won't break any records, but you get a ton of durability in return that makes up for it.

and it's still based on the cabin speed, it's not a track A can only go B fast, if you put heavy tracks with the Quantum cabin they can still get moving pretty quick.

They had it on a couple years ago. Last I checked they were planning on doing another season soon.

Edit: I believe it was the summer of '16. I remember being very impressed by the Minotaur team's driver.

Sometimes the random builder makes some interesting vehicles. And sometimes you get this:

Pretty much. There are very limited angles where you can bring one sledgehammer and the defender on target and none of the three can fire forward.

Tried to remake this in Crossout. Rather disappointed in the twin wheels compared to the monsters on the real car. Also, I need a higher parts limit.

it's not that the twin wheels are small, it's that you can't make your car that low to the ground. You might be able to get closer with a smaller cabin or some funny building techniques but yeah, biggest problem is simply you can't build at the same level as the frame.

I know. That's with the duster, which I believe is one of the smallest cabins. The dualies on that rat rod are oversized though, so combining that with the cabin issue and the twin wheels being a bit undersized the recreation just doesn't have the same feel. I do like the rest of it as an art build though. I'll probably swap the twins for mediums or large.

And the combat version for escort raids. So much fun, though not very practical.

the one fire cabin, the bat I think, I can't remember right now is pretty much exactly the cabin for doing cars like this. It is designed just like the car you tried to make. Also I think it sits maybe lower, but at least the same height.

if only you could connect the cabin to the edge of the frame it might be possible to get something reasonably low to the ground, but sadly, you cannot

Yeah, I have the Bat cabin. I just wanted to get it as accurate to the real one as possible, which didn't work as well as I wanted. I'll probably make a rat rod build with the Bat for pure looks since it's only armor will be the massive engine.

The bat kinda looks right, but you can't easily get the mirrors to work, and it still sits way high because of the inability to really design below the wheels.

Skinny frame under the cab and place slopes/panels that are 2 blocks wide under the edge of the cab and off the back. The wheels will help cover the spots where the frame has to come to the edge. It's still not perfect, but it does result in a rat rod that's one block shorter. It's probably the best we can do until they bring out a cabin that's only 3 blocks high or redesign how frames, wheels and cabins interact.

I wish we could build up so we could put stuff under the cabin. Even if was a frame piece that went vertical. If they kept the "cabin has to be on a frame" thing.
