They better not give you power armor at the start. That should be a long quest chain that feels like a real achievement.
I guess it will be available fairly early but it will take time to complete. Gathering parts and knowledge about it. I highly doubt your character has power armor training from the start.
I remember in fallout 2,getting the power armor by level 3 and playing the rest of the game as an invincible death machine.
Upon leaving starting village, south, south, south until you hit the base. It's sad to know the game throughout so well that it feels like being a god in it.
The robit knowing your name was pretty damn cool. And the molerats not being the size of a car. Also, teddy bear decapitation.
So did they say if you'll be able to customize every weapon like that, or just certain ones. Because anti-material rifle in assault rifle setup would be interesting. Or shotgun fatman.
I would guess that there will be some limitations based on weapon type. Though I'm guessing you only ever need 1 round for a shotgun fatman. since, you know, you won't get to fire it again.
Well it's a Bethesda RPG, so any such limitation would only last so long as it took someone to mod it out regardless.
Yep, I was about to mention that in a reply to Sheo, but my phone started acting weird at work. I was thinking something like the MIRV, but only using one mini nuke instead of 8 and making the projectiles micro nukes with reduced damage and aoe per projectile, but comparable to the standard version if they all hit. I hated the MIRV because there was absolutely nothing in the game that warranted more than 2 mini nukes, yet you had to waste 8. Don't get me wrong, it was cool as hell to fire it and watch everything in front of you disappear. It was just impractical.
Hell, the vast majority of the time even 1 mini nuke was overkill. I usually ended up keeping them to the end of the game cause I was waiting on a worthy target (and because the launcher is stupid heavy), and then ending up not using them at all.
The behemoths were really the only things worth shooting them at. Or the rare occasion where a pack of deathclaws is running after you.
