Current Schedule Wednesday - 7 pm Eastern (1 am GMT Thursday) Saturday - 12 (noon) Eastern (6 pm GMT) Meeting location: Our TeamSpeak server! While we wait on the promised one (MechWarrior Online), let's join together and play various games (MegaMek, MechWarrior 4, MechWarrior Living Legends and more) and get to know our fellow Shieldwallers (yeah, that's totally not a word)! We'll be setting up two different days, one focused on our North American time zone, and one for the whacky folks east of the Atlantic. Hopefully there will be plenty of cross-pollination as well. Laugh, play, and slay your way to a good time. Nothing builds camaraderie like a PPC to the face.
If these times don't end up working out, we'll adjust things as needed. This Wednesday (Jan. 18th) is MegaMek Night! Join us for MegaMek fun, we'll all gather together and beat each other senseless in an old fashioned Solaris brawl! Or, if we get really crazy, maybe we'll do another 3050 FRR verses the evil Clan Invaders match!
Wednesday is good, we can also discuss the MWO news releases. Now someone will just have to instruct me on how to connect to a game......
mw4 still has servers? I know they don't on vengeance, but I thought their Mercs was done too... Either way, don't have megamek or LL, so that would be my only bet.
megamek is free mw4 have servers as its free but i dont know how many but we will most likely host our own server
Megamek is free, so download it! It's the easiest way to get into the tabletop game. I only found out about it a week or two ago and have been hooked!
Ok, sometimes you can find free versions sometimes you can't so I didn't know... First things first though, and that's mw4...gotta get back to my fav mechs and configs...

Indeed, that'd be Thursday. We tried to set it up so that we'd have good times for both groups, and hopefully get some overlap. I'm certainly game to add another day/time or change things up however works! We want to have a couple days out of the week where people know they'll be other 'borgs about to play with, something a little bit structured if you will. Heck, maybe we'll end up having tournaments for MW4 and MegaMek too, if people are interested. Also, for MegaMek, check out this thread down in the Other Games section. It has the download link. Gotta love free!
I'll look into megamek, but for now trying to solve my mw4 problems... Have NO idea where my original CD's are, and the free download ain't working at all...so I'm sol atm. Figures, since my parents comp. room has been a mess for years. We have CD's for a computer that no longer exists, and Norton 2004...seriously. We never throw crap away and I've about finally snapped (mainly cause I do it too and I can't find anything anymore).
first you need to download MTX and from there you will be able to download mw4. When we play we will most likely use gameranger to host our servers
You can also find a few places who are hosting free torrents of MW4 as well. Ill see if I can find the link a little later
I've never played MegaMek before, so maybe? I do have MW4 though, I'd be up for that. I've got Hamachi, where can I snag Game Ranger?
If people want, we can have multiple groups playing multiple games on the same day too. If there's people who want to do some MW4 while others do MegaMek, we do have the technology. Heck, I can even make us more channels if we want. But, no time like the present to learn all about MegaMek! Trial by fire, trial by fire! Hm, we need a rampaging mob with torches and pitchforks emoticon.
Unless the gaming goes on until after 11:30 PM on Wednesday, I probably won't be able to do much that day. But that's not something that'll require you to reschedule, that's just my crappy hours. I'll have to see if I'm free to play Saturday with you guys.
