After a quick run-thru here is what I came up with for the pre-3050 units available. Archer Assassin Atlas Awesome Battlemaster Black Knight Catapult Centurion Commando Crab Cyclops Dragon Highlander Hunchback Jenner Locust Marauder Marauder II Mauler Orion Panther Raven Rifleman Shadow Hawk Stalker Thug Trebuchet Urbanmech Victor Warhammer Wasp Wolfhound Zeus
variants from 2850-3050 are probably the kinds to be encountered due to the drastic loss of technology during that time frame.
A list of weapons available in 3049 AC/2 AC/5 AC/10 AC/20 MG Array LB X-10 AC Ultra AC/5 Gauss Rifle Small Laser Medium Laser Large Laser Flamer PPC Small Pulse Laser Medium Pulse Laser Large Pulse Laser LRM-5 LRM-10 LRM-15 LRM-20 SRM-2 SRM-4 SRM-6 Arrow IV Thunderbolt Narc Missile Beacon There is also ER PPC, ER Large Laser, and Streak SRM-2, but MW4 only has clan versions (naturally) Artemis IV is also probably available
Woah, there weren't any MRMs in 3050. Also I vote to allow the ER PPC, ER Large Laser and Streak SRM2 because they were available to the IS (just not as good) but no other Clan weapons
Oooh. I hope they put the Archer in game. I wouldn't mind strapping into the pilot's seat of the 5R variant.
A FRR-exclusive variant!? Color me interested! :rapture: Anyone have any idea if any other mechs have such variants?
It isn't a big deal if we can't get everything EXACTLY right. It IS MW4 after all. The main point is people using a mech that fits for their desired role in MWO.
For future mw4 games, should we split into teams etc, I think we should employ a rule of "dead men tell no tales", especially with regards to scouts. Ie, if a scout finds the location of the enemy mechs but is killed before he can relay the info to his teammates he has to cease communication and treat his new mech as a fresh addition to the battlefield with no Tac-knowledge. We're probably not going to have that luxury of free-flow info in mwo, so lets not get used to it now.
I agree. This should help us scouts to be more cautious in enemy territory instead of slugging it out without any cares.
