Yeah I really don't need 38 buttons on a mouse. 4 or 5 is all my coordination will handle.

With any action/FPS game I'm baffled why you would need that many to begin with

38 buttons? You could damn near get rid of your keyboard at that point!

Razer Mamba 2012 eddition for me, 6 buttons in total, large enough for my long fingers and long enough for my hand, chose it after demoing a few other mouses at a local pc store.

From Logitech we have a new MMO mouse that should be shipping late this week according to Newegg. Tons of G-keys to use and I'm thinking it might be better than the G700 for feel getting your hand up more and somewhat giving your last two fingers a place to rest.

I had started a long post about how I was now looking at going to the rat/mmo.7 to replace my slightly broken G700 but then finding issues with those as well as even with the Level 10 M that is still to be released, finally concluding I need to build my own mouse using the guts from one of these to get the fit I really want. Needless to say I deleted it and then restarted and finally have to admit I'm up in the air. I really want a feature packed mouse with parts of the g700, the rat/mmo.7 and the level 10 m, making it fit me as a palming style user. I'm considering more and more the possibility of building my own but man is that a huge step to take.

On the subject of mouses, after searching around the webs trying to figure out how to set extra mouse buttons, etc. I came across the terms DPI and polling speed? Can anyone explain these strange and foreign words to me? :D

I know this thread is a few days old, but I really like my Naga. Granted I also play standard mmos and not just shooters, but I wouldn't go back to another mouse if I had the option. It does take getting use to, for sure, but I also have no problems reaching all 12 side buttons. I usually flip the switch on the bottom to the number pad and map keys to that, as I use wasd. It frees up the keys around my fingers for other things, so keys that are just a bit too uncomfortable to reach on the keyboard can either be mapped closer, or to the mouse. The shape is a little odd for my hand, but not uncomfortable, and I consider it a small price to pay now that I'm used to it.

I just picked up a Razer DeathAdder. Way more ergonomic and wider-based than my Razer Diamondback. Loving it so far!
