I think the issue with my G5 was with the cold, so I may wait until some big sales go on to get a new mouse, but I am probably going to go for a G500 or G700. Thank you guys for your input.

Picked up a G700 for $50. Fucking love it.

Fits my grip perfectly, as a hybrid claw/palmer. I sorta palm it, but I grip it with my thumb and ring finger. Use index and middle on MB1-2.

Have to say the G700 is badass. The only downside is the battery life if you unplug it.

Anyone know of fixes or mods to extend the battery life, besides turning down some of the options?

After about a year I went to leaving my g700 plugged in all the time because of the battery issues. After using the RAT 7 mmo for over a month I'm loving it, the precision aim button is a must for gauss shots and ac/2 sniping.

I ended up going for the G700, nice mouse. I am loving the extra buttons.

I haven't had any battery issues, but then again, when I'm not using it I turn it off and charge it.

The steelseries sensei is a nice mouse, certainly a cut above the logitec offering but costs more I think?

The RAT to me looks like a contraption from the iron age and I couldn't see how it would ever be comfortable.

The Razer MMO type of mouse, I have the Naga, is a fine piece of machinery and feels delicious, but beware, I have only got slim hands, if you have hands that are similar to the incredible hulks, I think you will struggle with it,the Naga is an enthusiasts mouse, and takes time and precision to work well. I have had mine for a long time and still struggle to use all the top buttons, and generally struggle with buttons beyond 4 or 5 on the side- they are just too far back. The buttons are small and require a good press, too. The mouse itself is a lovely shape as I said but it is a physically small unit.

G300/G500 etc would be my starting point. Logitec stuff is good.

I have an old first generation Razer Diamondback on my gaming desktop; I've had it since it was new, and it's the best mouse I've ever used; comfortable, accurate, and no issues with it at all in years. If they still made them, I'd recommend it without a moment's hesitation. Unfortunately I've been told the newer models are nowhere near as reliable, and don't last long at all; no personal experience there, but the reviews I've seen all over seem to agree, sadly.

I have a Logitech MX518 for my laptop, and no complaints with that either; it's an odd shape but seems to fit my fairly large hands well. Doesn't feel quite as nice to me as the Razer, but still very good, and it only came to $30 or so when I picked it up on Amazon.

I need to make a mouse store, where people can come in, try mice by shape and stuff.

Not being able to get a feel for using different mice is one of my biggest complaints. I might really like razer or thermaltake if I could try their products out, I ended up giving up my extremely comfortable g700 for the extra buttons, adjustability, and pinkie rest on the cyborg mmo7 only after reading and watching every review I could get on it, still would love to have been able to test it first.
