Since this is classic chests along with resource nodes in dungeons and raids are more valuable. So are we going to roll for these? Which this is something that is very common in classic.

Chests will be rolled for, nodes will be rolled among who can gather them.

The loot rules are basically just so folks know what to expect when they're running with us. I'm not really planning on having rules to cover every conceivable situation. CoC Rule #1 already covers that IMO.

Do keep in mind before sharding or auctioning some BoE, that some drops may be really good for other guildies and that should suffice.

Don't worry, we all do. We picked that to force people to group up instead of going off on their own, even if it's just with PUGs. Vanilla's not going to work if people play it like retail, you've gotta get in and be part of the community.

You won't have to deal with it for a good while anyway, since you'll only be flagged if you're outside a Horde-controlled area.

yeah your first brush with pvp -should- be around 35-40 when you start to go to the shared zones (assuming you dont get lost). At first this will consist of ganking people stealing your mobs or getting ganked for the same reason. not a big deal. kill them, call for help (it will usually come), or just go somewhere else. People don't realize it (they get caught up quest chains, im in this group) that there are generally 3-5 zones for any given level. thats 1-60. even at 60 there are multiple zones to level and quest in. Later on as the game progresses and the pvp battlegrounds (Warsong, Alterac, Arathi) pvp will drop off to almost nothing except for true city raids (not your problem unless you flag for it), instance access (MC, AQ...the big instance where 60s like to go), and general fuckabout by high lvl people. It is also vanilla, so ZERO flying mounts. Someone gets ganky and they either face a wave of people gunning for them, or hearth the hell home before shit gets too hot.

Dont let the fact wee rolled pvp stop you from joining us, it....really wont work as an excuse.

Edit: Look not tooting horns or anything but my friend and I ranked 14th in season 1 as a mage/rouge team. I know how to pvp in vanilla and it just isnt something you worry about in the real world. You will die 100 times to trash mobs for every gank. 1000 deaths in instances. Gotta remember when -they- kill us, its like killing a wasp, it pisses the rest off. it goes both ways.

It still puts a sour taste in my mouth, I like PvP in extremely small doses, win lose or draw I don't mind it much when it's relatively fair, but I played Shadowbane back in the day, and while WoW never really suffered that level of gankery it still has 'those types' which is why I always rolled RP, Even when someone suggested rolling on an Rp-PvP server the number of pure douchery was less than elsewhere. I'm still considering putting down the money, if only because I can play on Tuesdays XD... And maybe it will actually be amusing to once more be able to surprise the shit out of the occasional rogue who decides my survival hunter is easy prey ^.^ No douche knights, no space goats, (they should've been horde anyway) no panda's and definitely no World of Pokemon. Apparently they've also added two more leather wearing classes but still only have shaman and hunter wearing mail. 3,2,4,3, yeah that's gravy. I still have a few days to decide XD

Doesnt matter in retail for armor type because there are no more class specific tier items. no more tier sets so a warlock, priest, and mage all look just a like. Item drops are also personal loot rolls, no longer a group roll and loot being distributed.

Plus, itemization was wonky in Classic. You'll get DPS Warriors wearing leather items, Paladins wearing Cloth, Druids wearing Cloth. Shit was everywhere and people just wore what had the best stats for them.

because that was a great idea. Thankfully they had instituted item skinning some time ago so you can actually just look like however the fuck you want if you don't like looking exactly like everyone else of your armor type. I give them one, maybe two more expansions before items aren't actually rendered and are just stat blocks you attach to points on your skins. And then they can sell item skins and not call it PTW because the skin doesn't do anything, it just looks cool.

Edit: Assuming they're not already doing this.

The 4 hour wait times are no joke

Blizzard estimates multi hour long ques for whitemane, Herod, and faerlina.

Grobbulus still at medium capacity so I’m golden.

I’ll wait for the realm to die down a bit before I start leveling my mage on faerlina.

They will be opening 4 more realms opening day

Yeah, we're pretty much planning on launch day being an absolute fustercluck. The stress test wasn't too bad but it was still pretty congested whenever you got to a quest that needed a specific mob. I'm figuring on just leveling up to five and then grabbing some gathering professions for stuff to throw on the AH until all the guys rushing 60 move on to the next zone.

    Well..

Grobbulous joined the ranks of being full...

wonder how many joined just because it was at medium cap.

The 4 servers they just added are also high with one medium.

but... as a wise man once said..

"you think you do, but you don't"
