yes, I have it built so I can transpose the weapons as needed, no, I don't know where the other weapons are at the moment, these are the ones I almost always used anyway, lascannon power hammer (the melee weapons were mostly just fluff anyway) I believe it had a twin linked autocannon for the right arm as well. That's also the icon for my army on the left shoulder, I'm not a great artist, but I think I did alright XD
Finally done with the swamp theme bases for my Cryx lightjacks. Still working on the OSL for the last two jacks, but they should be fineshed soon.
actually no, believe it or not, I pinned the melee weapon with a bit of copper wire, and used some putty to 'fit' the other arm, and the back piece, so they really just compression fit.
yeah, magnets seem like a lot more work though, gotta shave out enough material to make room for the magnets without shaving out so much that you destroy the model... though I suppose with the rare earth magnets it might not be so bad, they're pretty tiny, but powerful... just make sure you got them correctly oriented -before- you glue them down XD (envisions his nicely painted lascannon shooting across the table...)
Those new Dwarfs look nice, maybe i shouldnt sell my unpainted old dwarfs that include about 100 Slayers...
Rare earth magnest is the only way to go w magnets. I've magnetized my entire Space wolf army, so I can select more or less every options for vehicles and troops. All my terminators are fully customizable (except for assault cannon, and he can still switch one arm), and so is all characters. I even had fun with the really small magnets, and made all troops with special weapons customizable as well (magnetized the shoulders and wrists).
just don't put your army near any floppies or cassette tapes... not that those are around much anymore
finally got some glue, here's the rest of my army, as well as some more of the rediculous amount of detail work I completely forgot I did on the Land Raider... I painted the interior as well...o.o and yes, the doors open and close, even the door that is behind the twin linked lascannon on the left side shown first XD can't get a good shot of the engine because the camera on the phone simply won't focus inside the tank
left, Chaos Noise Marines, Primary Company (colored red blue green black and white) equipped with three blastmasters, center is one chaos spawn, I have a second one unfinished and to the right is my trio of chaos bikers that got intruigingly warped in the heat one day, which is why some of the wheels seem smaller than the others... they are. and one of them is missing an arm. One Chaos Sorcerer, on the left, always always given the 'fleshy curse' because the ability to turn any biological enemy into a chaos spawn is just way to amusing to pass up. In the middle we have the basic predator tank, triple lascanons if I remember right, and on the right we have the secondary noise marine squad, The Pastels, pink, purple teal yellow and orange (also packing three blastmasters, since noise marines are my 'troop' choice for slaanesh, it made it rather easy to drop them as anti-tank units, blastmasters having a st4+d6 and a template weapon makes them very versatile both for tank hunting and anti troops, though the AP isn't great) left is my command lance, I was in the process of modifying them with twin lightning claws, when they changed the rules and I kinda lost interest for a long time, so I got my commander with twin lightning and I appear to be missing a head and arm for another, but most of them still have their basic weapons. I had also intended to modify them to have Doom sirens, but again, things happened about that time... on the right we have my squad of possessed Chaos Space Marines, heavily modified obviously XD
on to what little fantasy I have painted, I wanted a dragon, but I didn't see why the hell I needed some stupid elf to ride the damn thing, so...
this next one is a happy accident, I'm not really sure if I was intending to make it an albino or not when I originally painted it, but it came out looking so flipping amazing that I just went with it, I originally ran him as the personal mount for the hero skink, who appears to have vanished into the annals of Warhammer history. (I had an amusing army with no saurus or Slaan, all skinks, Kroxigor and Salamander, with the hero skink as the 'general' riding his stegadon, it was fun, if not legal by the rules, every unit except the general was aquatic so... XD)
hey! I found some of my blood bowl team! (no idea where the rest of them are, they used to all be in the original box once upon a time so who knows how they got all separated, I'm entirely unsure how the deathroller driver got separated from the deathroller!) and yes, that -is- a -female- dwarf cheerleader.
These are all amazing. I need to get into this.. but I have the artistic ability of a brick.. any suggestions for a newbie?
