Let me know how that turns out. I just got one for now because I wasn't sure about the power needed. I only have a 750W PSU. so I didn't want to chance it.

IT'S HERE!!! Is it bad that I want to call in sick just to build it?

Dihm, which 560 TI did you get?

Sadly I can't take mine to work. I might come home at 7 and start on it then. Hopefully I can get most of the parts connected to the motherboard before installing it in the case. That way I can still chat with you guys and get advice.

Edit: Ooh, the GPU came with a poster too. That wasn't in the product description. I'm a very happy bear right now.

I've got two (the second one just got here an hour ago and is now installed) Zotac 560 TIs. It's weird, same sku and everything, but they are different. The new one is longer and has the fan at the end instead of the middle. Stats are all identical... fucking odd. Oh well, they play nice together!

Got both for under $200 each.

Very nice. I just went for the EVGA 2Gb version. I'm wary about buying other brands, even though I know they would be cheaper.

Okay, build time. The only thing I'm unsure about is formatting the SSD and getting Windows7 on it.

Okay, now for the newb question. Would the formatting be using the windows7 disk, or is it through DOS? First build, so bear with me.

Urrm, IIRC I had to format it prior to trying to install windows in the bios or something. It didnt recognize it as a drive prior to that.. I think.. I know that was one step that left me scratching my head for a bit.

    Nevermind, I'm a derp

Edit: No, it was the one that holds the metal piece against the cpu, keeping it in place. I was trying to fight the spring
