Correct. We are already on a large space ship - or station.

In fact our ship or station is so big that it has a gravity well that makes it particularly tricky to undock our personal shuttles from it since there are no real world tractor beams, anti-gravity or inertial dampening. Not even force fields / shields.

 

Whoever made this spaceship was a terrible engineer.

The life support system is idiot proof. You can literally throw nuclear bombs at it and it will self correct and fix itself over time.

The occupants keep improving all the time on their own. Sometimes they hit a dead end which simply means that a new better species will emerge.

Dinosaurs hit a dead end with their limited brain capacity caused by being hatched in eggs - not enough nutrients in those eggs to support the massive energy requirements of a developing brain.

Once they were almost all extinct and the system lay in tatters it fixed itself and rebooted using the best bits of the old system.

Humanity's greatest problem isn't our intelligence. We can prepare in advance and we can predict future although in limited way.

Our greatest problem is with our socioeconomic systems not catching up to our intelligence. Our socioeconomic systems are inefficient and reactive. They prefer dealing with shit after causing shit to happen as opposed to using information available about preventing shit from happening.

This is not a problem of our biology. We need to solve the problem of rearranging our socioeconomic systems so that we as a species will be more active and act with greater forward thinking.

 

This makes me think he added stuff to the helmet like bluetooth, speakers maybe some of the smartglasses tech coming out (basically puts a HUD on the glasses without the stupid attachment thing like google glass. think kingsman if you have seen that movie.)

 

I'm additionally going to assume that the bike can become part of a giant robot.
