    I didn't come up with the spell, I just pointed at it and said 'hey that'd be fun!' it's not about farfetchedness, and if you really want a regenerating octopus the only prerequisite is getting the DM to buy it, that's all I said XD (also regeneration is quite frequently a massive step up in the CR scale of things, so there's that)

    Unfortunately, regen is one of those abilities that works fine for monsters but is way overpowered in the hands of players.

    unless the DM decides to pit you up against fire elementals or oozes repeatedly, in which case it becomes a 'why did I bother with this CR5 monster character when I could've just started with a normal character and been on the same level as everyone else!'

    Okay, how about we get back to the octopus. :p

    Thoughts Demon? Cap on race points? 9-13 seems like the standard range. Not sure how to factor in things like not being able to wear armor or gloves or boots or all that

    edit: actually, if you gave it a spell like ability for Fog Cloud and Expeditious Retreat, it would effectively be the same thing, on land, or at least a close facsimile to the water abilities

    This does look like an interesting game, but switching would require complete rewrites of everyone's characters, plus Demon would have to rewrite everything he's got about his story so far. We'd be looking at another week or two before starting, minimum.
