Saw it. Was awesome. I agree that first half was a little slow. And that ramming frigate from homeworld cataclysm.
Saw it last night and I enjoyed it. I'm still trying to figure out that fucking ship they were flying in for half of the movie. Early on the wings fold out as it flies through atmosphere, then fold in when it jumps and lands. Okay, they're for atmospheric flight. Oh wait, five minutes later they're flying through atmosphere with them folded in and you never see them come out again. Yes, that's the only thing that bothered me. Too much SC I guess.
Saw it yesterday, most of my comments are already covered with the CGI and awkward first half pacing. They should've cut out some near useless scenes near the start like Spoiler killing the informant at the beginning, while setting tone it did nothing for the story that wasn't covered later . The spaceship wing inconsistency was annoying for me too. Anyone else notice they literally cut and paste shots from Episode IV into the space battle scene to get the pilots comm chatter? Like the Spoiler 'red one, standing by' was literally, both the shot and audio, taken from IV. And they Spoiler straight up showed red 5 for 2 seconds just to kill him to open up Luke's spot
Spoiler yeah, all the red leader/gold leader chatter is cut footage from New Hope. I actually quite liked that stuff, and the glorious death of Red Five

Yep. Chopper was in there. They mention hera over a comlink. Zebs voice actor did something (no idea if he was being zeb or not)

Oh I didn't have an issue with the fighter squadron tie ins, those actually made sense considering the timing. The only one I thought was a biiiit of over reach was Spoiler the duo they bumped into that will have their limbs cut off by Obi Wan in episode 4.
Spoiler didn't they say that planet was destroyed a few minutes later? if so how the hell did the two of them make it off the planet to be in episode IV? I suppose it was a few hours between when the death star fired and when they appeared.
