Being EA this won't drop for a long time, if you're doing PC best bet is to sign up for the subscription for a month, play the game then cancel.
EA Access. It's EA's "live service" subscription model... very similar to Netflix. To be honest, it's not the worst option if there's a specific game you want to play through once from EA's library and don't care about replay value. Definitely not something for people like me that revisit old games regularly.
Yea its actually a decent deal, you basically get their entire catalog for the monthly price, which I think is like $10. They add all their brand new games to it, so when the last battlefield came out I was playing that and also playing through the Dragon Age back catalog through #2 and #3 and played a bunch of smaller indie stuff on the side. I think I had it for 2 months and played through a bunch of AAA games, even got to play Anthem for the same price (which at the time was cool but looking back obviously not as cool). For $20 I got pretty good value out of it, but I also knew what games I knew I wanted to play. I would get it temporarily to play some stuff but I wouldn't keep it as a subscription forever.
Seems like a way to also see if you want to buy a game (if it has replay value) or if it might be a one and done game.
Don't get me wrong: I used to really hate the idea behind it, but I softened that view when I realized it's not much different than Netflix's model. However, what makes it great is also what holds me back from jumping into it. For example, I'm already subscribed to at least three of these kinds of subscription services. It is very difficult for me to justify getting another one I need to keep track of. At some point, it's just too much.
Alright. Color me addicted to Fallen Order. I just "beat" my first game through, missed a lot of side things, took 18 hours. They stated there will be no microtransactions but I do hope for some expansions
But he is holding the best door opener in his hand. I mean there are certain materials in the star wars universe that are lightsaber resistant. But they are not common. Both Disney canon and legends. Huh. So the main 1 I was thinking of (Cortosis) was brought back into canon. But it hasn't been stated yet if it is lightsaber resistant. The only 2 metals I know of are phrik and manalorian iron. Yes i know the show calls it steel l.
I got that. Has there ever been a game where you can open doors with the lightsaber? I'm sure it probably would have been an animated sequence instead of player controlled.
It was knowledge lost during the Clone Wars. Not every master could teach his padawan the ways of the door opener.
Seriously. I -fear- the drunken master Jedi knight o.o I am not terribly afraid of Darth Balls, however.
