I have a bbq I have to go to friday, but I'm hoping to be wrapping up by 8. Might be a little late, though. Regardless of what happens, we won't be playing much past midnight. To be honest, the campaign is almost done. I think our combined fleet power is over 500k? We already knocked off the Unbidden. At this point we just need to bring the Non-aligned Alliance and Ascended Empire to heel. It will be a fun final battle at any rate. Tentative plan is meet @ 8pm EST (but will let you know if I'm a little late).
I should be able to make it. Already decided I'm not doing PT this Friday. And as you can tell from this time of posting I'm going to be sleeping in plenty today. Death the (non-aligned) xenos scum!
We should really do another report before the final battle. I'm thinking of starting a SP game and just doing reports from start, end of first play session, then end of each play session until the end. But that's also a lot of work.
So... right now we've had a loooot of crunch time at work. I've done, in order, a 11 hour shift, 14.5 hour shift, and looking like another 10 hour tonight. I'll probably not be home until 9:30 or 10 pm EST, so just play without me. As much as I would love to be there for the final showdown(without having to re-manage the shit the AI does), it just looks like I won't be. (And I might even be working tomorrow) This pay cheque should be fucking awesome though.
I've been practicing doing stuff like that with Dwarf Fortress and Stellaris already. It can be a bit of work, but taking short notes helps. It's usually a lot of fun to go back through them later after I've written everything up. I was thinking of trying to do something with Europa Universalis IV with any people who were willing to play that at a slower, more intentional pace. Ah, man, that sounds like some serious work. Well, shucks. Hopefully you can make some of it, if you're not too beat from work.
