Yes, but according to the legal text buried within your copy, Bill Gates is allowed to whip one 3rd world child. Two children if you used BitTorrent.
i said it was a hypothetical question! I am neither confirming or denying whether it applies to me or not.
in fact I am pillaging it as we speak, then i will install my loot and get back to raiding the spaceways
Hmm rresistance is fierce, they have counter attacked and driven my Nvdia drivers insane! Win 8 keeps corrupting my video drivers, not sure what that evil winnate offered them to keep switching sides.
My hard drive died on my laptop. I sent it off and 3 weeks later I get back not working. I voided my warranty and fixed it myself but there was no OS on it. Needing the laptop, I went to get another copy of Win7 from the local market (I had the win8 beta and wasn't overly impressed). Much to my dismay, retail stores no longer carry windows 7 (at least not in this area). I was forced to purchase Windows 8. They only had the Pro version ($200) but it was on sale for $69 so I said screw it, I need an OS. Much to my surprise, this build is much improved over the beta version I had been using. I was pleased. I have 12 gigs of RAM so the improvement there isn't huge but it's still noticeable.
I got the $15 windows 8... was not impressed. Maybe I'll try again in five years, when my Alienware/ Radeon/ Razer drivers are supported by it. I've got 16 gigs of RAM, so I'm not too worried.
this thing is very user unfriendly... all my music and videos seem to be invisible to it, same with all my games, My hard drive is almost full but I can't find what it is full of! I remove programs but Hard Drive space is not freed, This is very frustrating, the help book pretty much states,' all is well, move on stupid.' Any advice?
I am still working through some of the oddities...It found my pics and music but I still can't see my installed programs unless I installed them AFTER I upgraded...mostly I am hapy because of how resource light it is.
Right click on empty space on the start screen, all apps should appear in the bottom right. right click an app and pin it to start. Though I didn't see any FPS boost, I am really starting to like the flow of this. Once I organized everything I wanted on the start screen I cleared off my desktop entirely, now i can just pop back and forth quickly between things. For extra fun don't forget to try right clicking in the corners of your screen to bring up extra menus.
Silly st paul foreigner (grins) They aren't showing on apps page if they were installed before upgrade, its the things that were already on PC before upgrade that win* seems blind to. Took me a while to simply find menus lol, Windows media player wouldn't see my music until I went and copied it to a stick then reinstalled on HD.
Damn Minnesotans and their messed up installs. All mine showed from the get go. Cant even search them or find them in the file structure and pin them?
mostly no, went from win vista to win 8 think thats the problem, just tried to install a program and thats invisible as well. Music and videos seem to show no method to weather they are showing or not, even new downloaded ones...I need a win8 book for dumb dummies.
