I've played outcast, embermage and engineer briefly (don't have a lot of spare time right now). The Engineer plays a lot like the old destroyer and the embermage reminds me a bit of the alchemist. The outcast's glaive spell is just plain fun to use.
I think it is better then Diablo 3, but then again, I am a naysayer of D3.... Not a bad game, just not fun to keep playing after you have beaten it.... I still play it occasionally (some times with my brother), but you have to add friends through runic games' website instead of steam. I can't remember my username there atm.
