Avatar Conquest This option is fantastic. I <3 the multi-player aspect of this game. It is almost as much if not more fun than the regular campaign. You can level/get veteran units, can customize them w different colors/appearance, they each have their own skill trees, etc. SOOOO much fun! There is a heck of a lot of depth to the game even in PvP mode.... thumbs up! (plus I just won an epic battle so I'm exited about that, ) This is more up my alley than SC2 (no base building, but rather 40k tabletop style points battles), and once I started learning the units, gets a lot easier. Can't wait until Dihm gets home so we can do some 2v2
Strategy Pro-Tips Let's hear what you have Tip: Low tier units NEED a general near them to keep them from breaking. The basic units will run at the drop of a hat w/o supervision.
Tip: In 5k point battles size>advanced units. Don't load yourself up with expensive units, but rather make a few select choices if you are going to use them.
Recruiting for Shogun 2 Clan UPDATE: RECRUITMENT POST IS UP http://forums.totalwar.com/showthread.php/11055-UOB-Gaming-Clan?p=133787#post133787 I would live it if people would join the forums and help me keep it active/bumped Thoughts? Feelings on this? I wouldent mind a few new faces around here to play with. What are we looking for in people for this? Do we want to keep the Steam group (the primary way of getting into Unoriginal Bastards Clan in game) locked and by invite only or open it up? My personal opinion is that I/we start hitting up the below link and get a few new people for our clan! http://forums.totalwar.com/forumdisplay.php/85-Clan-recruitment?order=desc I will put up a post there later today if we are interested.
My vote is open till you hit a pre-selected member cap, then switch it to invite. At that point, you can start weeding out the douchebags. They would serve the purpose of bolstering your numbers until you get the start you want, but after that point would be a detriment to our reputation.
Put your katana samurai on the edges to flank around after their main battle line is engaged with yours. Remember to put your yari ashi in spear wall, it dramatically increases their survivability, against anything, not just cavalry. They are the anvil to the samurai's hammer. Just remember they are brittle (poor morale). Don't use your general as your flanker unless you want your peasants to break. Kill their general and the battle is pretty much won, peasants route super fast.
uuhh I want to strangle steam right now. Im set as an admin, but I cant get the damn group to flip to public.....
Realm Divide Tweaks Mod that tweaks the Realm Divide event. Two versions, one basically gets rid of it, and one lowers the hit so that allies might actually stick with you for a bit of realism instead of the -200/-400 whatever diplomacy penalty that makes EVERYONE turn on you. My vassals turned on me after a couple of turns since they didn't like me much anyway, made for some tense turns while they sent their stacks against my poorly defended middle. So far my allies have held firm. For the moment, they are getting less and less happy.
