Holy shit... this reminds me of the original version of Warcraft that came packaged with an accessory DOS program that let you tweak every stat for every unit in the game. It blows my mind how many developers forget to include this in games these days. This is great news for players.

It,s the reprisal update. Which adds alot of the things that was added to warhammer 1 in the foundation update. So warriors of chaos design changes, wood elf followers and updated skill trees for old world legendary lords. The only truly new thing that gets added is the laboratory

Now that the first race dlc (Tomb Kings) have been released and they have added the first free legendary lord, "Tretch Craventail" for Skaven. Let's talk about something that is always fun, what will come in the future.

It's pretty much already confimred that we will see 3 more free LL, one each for Dark Elves, High Elves and Lizardmen.

It's also very likely that we will see 2 versus dlc in the style of "The Grim and the Grave" and "The King and the Warlord". It will probably be a Dark Elf vs High Elf and a Lizardmen vs Skaven. These will contain 1 new legendary lord for each race and some new units i would believe.

If the ones i have mentioned so far is released, all of the existing Vortex map races will have 4 legendary lords each.

The next race dlc is alot alot harder to guess on but there are a couple things that CA have said that opens up for some options. The big one is that they have said that they will do more "minor" races in the style of Norsca. Where they take some creative freedom in order to be able to make a big enough army roster.

The Major races that have yet to be added to the game are "Chaos Dwarfs", "Daemons of Chaos" and "Ogre Kingdoms". None of these fit into the Vortex map and they are likely saved for Warhammer 3.

So, if we look at both lore and army books for what races are missing that could fit into the vortex map. We are left with some options.
    Araby
    Amazon
    Albion
Dogs of War (It's a book that covers mercenaries but also Tilea, Estalia and Border Princes. They do have colonies in the new world so maybe)
    Pirates of Sartossa
    Hung
    Vampire Coast

It's hard to say which one of these they would do but Araby and Dogs of War feels most likely based on previous army books and lore

Ofcourse this is just me guessing and nothing is sure until CA says it is.

Yeah, they messed up pretty badly with Norsca, having to redo most of the work for it to make it compatible with Warhammer 2.

This update arrives alongside The Queen & The Crone Lords pack, bringing a huge array of content additions, revisions, and improvements to Total War: WARHAMMER II and the Mortal Empires campaign as well as many bug fixes and balance changes.

The Resurgent update brings full implementation of the Norsca Race Pack to Mortal Empires. This includes all content from the original Norsca Race Pack for Total War: WARHAMMER, alongside new Monster Hunt quests and technologies to more fully integrate the race into the Mortal Empires campaign setting. Ownership of the Norsca Race Pack is required to play as Norsca in Mortal Empires.

This update also brings the 30th anniversary Regiments of Renown from Total War: WARHAMMER, bolstering the forces of the Beastmen, Norsca, Warriors of Chaos, and Wood Elves with 30 unique elite unit variants in the Mortal Empires campaign.

Finally, a host of extras have been added to switch up WARHAMMER II and Mortal Empires. These include:

    • All Elven races now gain the Shrine of Khaine campaign mechanic:
      • The Sword of Khaine, a powerful blade of legend, is buried beneath the Shrine of Khaine. The first Elven race to build the Shrine to the Widowmaker building at the Shrine of Khaine will gain the blade, which may be equipped to any general.
      • The Sword of Khaine hugely magnifies a general’s combat prowess – but there is a cost in the campaign game for wielding the blade…
      • Any faction who defeats the wielder may claim the Sword of Khaine. Thus, only Elven races may unearth it, but all races may subsequently claim and wield the sword.
    • High Elves have gained two new technologies: From the Shadowlands and Strength of Avelorn
    • Ungrim Ironfist now begins the Mortal Empires campaign at Karak Kadrin and gains the ability Red Ruin
    • Dwarves now gain the Giant Slayers unit
    • Dwarf Forging: Dwarven factions may now craft unique magic items, weapons and more using a new resource called Oathgold
    • Thorgrim Grudgebearer gains the new ability Oath of Vengeance
    • 10 new Landmark buildings have been added for a variety of races
    • A new achievement for completing Mortal Empires as an Old World race has been added
    • The Skaven Laboratory Mode now gets a hardware benchmarking feature
    Norsca Additions
    • New Monster Hunt: Gargantulzan
    • New Monster Hunt: Hellbeast of Seep-Gore
    • New Monster Hunt: Beast of Raema
