That Trinity meme is old as heck. You can still make everybody next to invincible but somebody has to take one for the team and almost die. And Mirages Lazor Discoball is one of my fav ultimates now. Burn baby burn! Disco inferno! EDIT:
I just started playing this and am phenomenally bad at it. I've failed about half the missions I do. Working with a Loki suit with stealth and decoy and I got the standard katana+SMG+pistol. I put +health +armor and +shield on my suit, +dmg on my sword, none of it helps much. Anyone got a good link to a new player guide? Or anyone willing to offer up some general tips to a noob? I've got good aim, I just don't have a handle on the mechanics yet it seems.
catch...some of the people who posted here online. Magnus, Gamma, myself, tzeench, ghiest others on Teamspeak is your best bet. its a little complex for the forum when you get into some of the combos you can pull off. plus we all have weapons that can kill most anything in one shot.
The start is extremely rough for a new player if you don't have clanmates to give you some basic necessary mods. Also, Loki is not the best choice for starting the game in my opinion. It lacks damage or stun skills and its crowd control is costly ultimate ability, which can also turn against you if you are not careful. Couple dozen Grineer drawing out their beating-sticks are just meat to leveled up players but are terror to new players. About modding the Loki: Max energy, skill duration and shields. After these put points on max health. The invisibility is your main skill as Loki. When you see heavy units or group of mobs, you stealth and cut them to bits as you crit automatically with melee while invisible. Try to place Decoy somewhere enemy doesn't immediately see it and shoot it. Even if it's out of sight it still draws attention of nearby enemies. Loki is really tedious to play at first without proper upgrades, but it becomes top-tier frame after maxing out mods and abilities. You can stay invisible almost all the time and Decoy + Radial Disarm is hilarious agro-magnet. Getting rid of your starting weapons is recommended. There's good selection of weapons available even to new player if memory serves. Just ask if you need opinion on some specific weapon. I've played this game enough to tell what weapons are effective and fun to use. Always try to collect all the credits you can. It helps you in the long run. Even I run out of creds sometimes. When you are maxing your Serration mod you'll understand why. Send friend invite to me when you can. It's Hunter_Gamma in WF. I'll see if I can trade you some basic mods that'll help you out.
I started with Loki too, and I will happily give you some tips. I can even walk you thru some stuff. Once you get mastery rank 2, you can trade - then clan mates can help you out a lot more. Send me a friend request: WolfXWK Tip #1 - switch teleport? don't bother at low levels. Just leave this power out. Tip #2 - save up some creds and buy a Lex pistol from the market. It has no blueprint/build time. Just takes 50k credits. Lex does tremendous damage for a low level pistol.
Just don't think that Loki is a bad frame, though. It scales very well in late game once you have the right mods that let you buff Decoy, Invisibility, and Radial Disarm (Switch Teleport can be useful for utility purposes, but is not necessary). I forget exactly, but I think my Loki can stay invisible for over 30 seconds... and thanks to my buffed energy efficiency, I can basically keep invisibility up indefinitely. If they can't see me, they can't hurt me. That said, Loki is definitely the greatest challenge of the starting Warframes. Edit: basically, what HG said.
Wolf and I are pretty much on as long as the servers are up, Look up XPHAku and you will find me and my clan and we can all help.

After a couple month hiatus, Warframe has drawn me back again, and as anticipated the changes (awesome by the way!) are huge compared to the last time I was running it. Specifically to the change on how the Infested are handled just blows my mind. Creepy, as they were meant to be. I do wish they had some means to host more than just four people a go (I forget if Conclaves are 2v2 or possible 4v4 >.>).
Fair warning: next Monday I will be clearing out the roster of peoples who haven't logged in for <90d.
