Sweet, I still have both of you on my friends list.

Apparently, there's a 48-hour delay between leaving your current clan and joining (or creating!) a new one. So the first thing to do is (sadly) leave the current clan through here.
Also, for the same reason, the new clan itself won't actually be made until tomorrow 4 am GMT (which should be 10 pm CST).

After the 48-hour period, look for Paradox Redux [PDOX2] as the working name for a clan. Invites will probably be sent out when available.

Sweet! Done and done. Also, when the Clan exists, please invite DrayWolf as he is already persona non clannus as they say. I should be out before the weekend so I will accept then.

Also - for Tier 6 Company Battles and Pillow Forts, the discussion has come up about which Tier 6 is as good as a KV-1S... which I refuse to buy back.

    I'm going with the ARL44

    It is done.

I agree with Killbox. Its hard to find anything at tier 6 that can compete with the KV-1S

The next patch is actually going to hit the kv-1s with the nerf bat. It's going to become the kv-85 (albeit with the same 122 mm gun) but supposedly almost everything gets worse stat-wise. Keep in mind, though, that the specific details on nerfs are not finalized.

As for other good tier 6s, the M18 hellcat is widely acknowledged to be a solid pain in the ass. And as far as solid heavy tanks, I've heard a lot about the T-150.

The problem with the KV-1S is that 122mm gun and that problem will carry over to the KV-85. It will be nice to see a slower rate of fire and everything else that gets nerfed about it but the problem is that it will still be able to 2 shot alot of the other tier 6 tanks.

The M18 Hellcat is supposed to have been nerfed already but they just keep pushing on that but 9.3 seems to be the patch when the nerf hits it.

The T-150 has good armor but its lacking abit when it comes to the gun and the mobility.

When it comes to the other heavies they wouldnt really bring anything. VK36.01H and M6 isnt that good. The KV-2 is too random.

I can say that im not a heavy player. I play mostly mediums and lights but i have a hard time finding any mediums that i would pick for a clan match at tier 6. Alot of it is because of the KV-1S but its also because i find that tier 6 isnt balanced that well.

If you want something fast, I recommend the AMX 12t and the Chaffee.
The AMX 12t at tier 6 functions a lot like the AMX 13 90 at tier 8, i.e. lots of quick damage followed by running away.
And the Chaffee is a strictly better sherman (pick one), since it handles the gun better while being faster. (let's be honest, that armor wasn't gonna help you anyway)

In other news, clan is officially open for business!

Can agree on some points here - Had they ended the madness by limiting the KV-85 to it's namesake 85mm D-5T, or buff it to the 100mm D10-T it would be fine. The massive alpha of the 122m still supports the hit-and-run playstyle of the KV-1S.

The T-150 is actually a nice tank, with an awesome armour profile. The problem is the famous 107mm gun cannot hit anything reliably outside 200m. Otherwise, in closer fights, I actually prefer it to the 122mm because of the refire rate. I may look into this as I might still have a 100% crew for this tank.

Never driving the Hellcat - though I know from being on the receiving end - that it's still a good TD.

At that level, the Mini-Tiger VK36.01 isn't all that good at all - in fact, the medium VK30.01P sports a nice gun but it's larger than my house and can be seen from space. The M6 can also be seen from space, but at least the 90mm gun is a saving grace, as well as the excellent gun depression - though it's speed has been compared to Glaciers and other geological events, and it's armour, while thick, is 90 degrees upright - making it largely useless.

I like the ARL44 because it's good 120mm of hull armour in the front, angled at about 55 degrees giving it excellent protection, the top turret is narrow and the mantlet is thick, it can carry two excellent guns - the 105mm FF13 with 165mm pen and 300 alpha or the 90mm DCA40 with 212mm pen and 240 alpha. The DCA is especially nice seeing as it is ridiculously accurate and can penetrate the front face of KV's turret at range. The problem with it that yes, it's slow - but no so slow that you need a geologist to determine when you'll get there, and it's tall, but still shorter than the M6. The gun depression isn't wonderful either, but it's not a hull-down tank - it's actually a side-scraper.

But I digress - I just hope they beat the KV-1S to death with the nerf bat.

I know about both of them when i went for the amx 13 90 the 12t was still tier 5. so the only one i havent played is the ELC.

I currently have 552 games in the Chaffee and its my main tank so i would gladly pick it if i could. The tier 6 games will only allow tier 4.

I might just go for the E8 as that have always been a steady pick for me. 323 battles in it.

Alas I will have to re-learn the way of non-autoloading Frencies - luckily the ARL was an easy tank to play, like it's big brother the AMX M4 45 (aka the Frog Tiger).

The light/medium line is even worse cause you get your first autoloader at tier 6, tier 5 is the weird ELC and at tier 4 you get the AMX 40.

Also, for some reason i forgot about the Type 4 Chi-To that is tier 6...

This source may be outdated, but there do not seem to be any class-specific tier restrictions.

Also, I see we have a few newbies in the mix - I don't mind, as I usually like helping new players grind up and dispensing otherwise dangerous advice.
