Is a specific role that everyone would like to go after? I think Magnus wants to go after role warfare so each lance should be specialized and will get certain missions based on that specialization. So I think we will need to either get all our mechs in line with each other or some people will have to shuffle around the lances to get things straight.

What do you guys want to do?

Take a look at Magnus's post.

you don't necessarily HAVE to specialize... just consider it. specializing brings with it certain costs and benefits. as mentioned before, faster speeds will open up a wider selection of missions. keep in mind however, that a recon lance will make proportionately less profit than a heavier lance. this is because the heavier lances will likely be hunting bigger game (or larger numbers of smaller game). other things to consider: light mechs don't offer very much room for error. one or two bad hits can end things for you pretty quickly. heavier mechs are a bit more forgiving, but may also have a harder time escaping if/when things go sour. regardless, i'm aiming to make it a fun experience either way. i personally chose to go on the lighter side with my lance just because I'm planning to do the opposite in our Skjaldborg campaign.

I was thinking we could focus on heavy hitting firepower. Maybe one or two of use with a bit more speed or JumpJets. I personally really like the Eienfasut (Sp?) So, I'll stick with that. Have to talk to you about that Magnus.

Fet is in my lance and I think he wants to stick with a Talos (4/6). I think he would be willing to join you. Maybe Hordac would be willing to swap with Fet to help us in our recon lance? I am taking a Firebee also.

@ Trev: your eisenfaust could benefit greatly from having JJs. all it would cost you is 1.5 tons for 3 jump MP and it would allow you to qualify for all 4/6 missions; a much cheaper alternative to swapping out your engine.

I can switch with Fet so that he can run the Talos. If he changes his mind or someone else expresses a strong desire to run a Light I can always pick a new mech so that I am more in line with rest of lance. Just let me know and I will either pack my gear to change locations or start looking at new rides.

Wait, I forgot I could just add JJ's to any 'mech. How much would that cost? I love me some JJ's.

I am ok with heavy hitting. Do you guys think I should go with something heavier then an Icarus II?

    ICS-1S
    40 Tons
    1x AC/10
    2x Medium Lasers
    1x Small Laser

I do not know the movement, but it does have Jumpjets.

Also, I am specializing in the AC/10.

Nah, that should be good. Thing I'm worried about is with Hordac leaving, will Fet have the Leadership to replace him? Also, my 'mech has basically the same loadout, just with a LL along with it.

JJs are covered under the Basic Equipment Upgrade... so 1 TP (along with any other 1 slot weapons and equipment...excluding CASE). I didn't realize Hordac was your lance leader. :disturbed: My bad. I hope you guys don't feel I am forcing any sort of decision here. As far as who takes leadership, that is up to you guys. The responsibilities of Lance Leader are pretty easy now. The only thing you need to keep track of is repairs for your lance. Whoever you think is the best choice.

Would that be something you could do for me, pretty pretty please? I have 2 TP, so cost isn't an issue.

BV and C-bill costs don't always correlate.

I just started the thread cause we needed one. Gihzmo is head honcho. I am the goat tied to the stake otherwise known as recon pilot.

And you mech goes 4/6/4 gihzmo. And you should have 2 TP left.... Start with 8 TP (4mil c-bills) your mech costs 2.79 rounded to closest gives you 3mil. Leaves 1 million or 2 TP
