Well one of the things I have been wanting to do is to be able to do more with less. So allowing the group to call in air support without having to have a dedicated pilot (although if someone wanted to be on standby, the certainly could). My only problem with having a dedicated pilot is they get bored and start killing stuff without orders from the ground. Which makes it kind of crappy for the ground troops. But if I can have an AI plane on standby, put them up to loiter and take command of it and provide air support, then hop back out it would make it pretty nice.

But yes, hopping into a sniper and putting some pressure on the players would be pretty cool too. Or like the other night where you guys were having mortars, I could hop into the mortar itself, instead of using the module.

I love the helicopter physics in ARMA3. Could defiantly be an on call pilot for insertion/extract and close air support.

Which to me means I should shoot everything that isn't me, Varg, or Don. Actually, I'll just shoot everything that isn't me just to be safe.

Edit: That was in response to Gihz getting to control units.

Don't forget the task of circling around an area and watching for movements there

I was impressed with the comms I heard during today's excursion, despite watching y'all march into Gihzmo's carefully prepared deathtrap.

I swear, nobody even heard me spotting for you, but that's my fault for being at work and not able to talk over TS.

What times are you guys generally playing? I've checked on and off a few times since I got everything set up and no one has been on.

well my previous gaming group was focused on Arma 2 and A2 Arrowhead all of em were active or retired military from all around the world so we trained ingame with real world tatics was fun to play in such highly organized manner. I'd be down for Arma 2 server ^^ and im thinking about getting Arma 3 myself infact its %40 off right now on Steam.

I would also like to request the A-10C mod. I have played around with it a bit, and it is AMAZING. When you get in, you have touch control over the electrical, engine and weapon systems. So to start it up, you actually have to go through the startup procedure. It is not NEARLY as complex as DCS A10, but it is not just pushing a button either.

as a pilot I fully stand behind getting to play with a fully (or nearly) functioning aircraft!!

I'm really hoping my desktop will support running the game at a decent speed, if not then its time to finally splurge for a better video card

The important question, Gihz, is does it fuck up tanks as well as it is supposed to? And can you fly it back on a prayer and not much else?
