Oh hey, pony references in Diablo 3... Fortunately, its the older generations of ponies...so I am content with them getting massacred.

I'm loving the Monk. Bigtime. AoE Melee with plenty of Crowd Control and support abilities. My connection + the game = hit or miss play. Last night my firewall freaked out and I ended up with my first death, ever, caused by 2244ms latency. Disabled the firewall and it was playable again.
Played a bit tonight. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would so far. I've only tried the mage, and every time my frost ray kills something, all I can think of is Frickin laser beams. I'm not entirely sure if I want to spend the $60 or not on it though. Once I get done with the Starter Edition, I'll be faced with a tough choice.
My main is a mage, liking it a lot so far. Really good AoE and crowd control spells (frost nova is one of the best skills in the game). Its also versatile. Piece of advice: equip everything that has a + to intelligence or just adds to damage (even 1-2 'damage' items increase your damage greatly, you can see this by looking at the damage stat in inventory when you equip them). I just got to 200 damage at level 20 and am absolutely obliterating everything.
My Witch Doctor is ok but I'm seeing it more as the Utility class instead of a damage class, which has me perplexed. In the beta the WD was a pretty rough-n-tumble sort of character and I was able to churn out quite a bit of damage. Now it seems like many of my abilities have been dialed back so that they aren't as potent. I've also noticed that in the beta I was finding more WD-styled gear whereas now I'm lucky to stumble across a voodoo mask or a waga doll.
I also really enjoyed monk but then kinda stopped due to me thinking Id save it as a with friends class and rolled a mage which I wasnt that into but I am liking it quite a bit now, especially with default skill enforcement off Ray of Frost AND Arcane Orb at the same time? hells ya
Ya you dont have to be bound to 1 of each category http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/15/d...ck-full-skill-tree-customization-in-diablo-3/ Once you do that when you go in and click a skill slot in the selection you should see arrows to the sides of the actual skills and you can change the skill group of that slot to mix and match as you like and have multiples from a single group.
go into options, then "gamepley", then turn on "elective mode" now you can put any spell into any hotkey slot. Makes for much more interesting "build" options.
??? why the hell wouldn't everyone do this? I mean my current wiz is absolutely destroying everything right now but its way more fun to mix and match all this stuff.
I know right, but then again the average user is assumed to be an idiot and likely is given how poorly sandbox games are received for being overly complicated.
Little ways into Act 3 with my 29 DH; the electric elemental bolt is raping the act. Also, I -love- spike traps.
things i learned from the internet. Damn! why is there no giant sign in the main menu that tells you those things? i mean that is not just some tiny comfort option, this seriously changes game balance
