Just been playing through on the guest pass. I've done the monk and the demon hunter. I loved the demon hunter, but I wasn't a huge fan of the witch doctor.
Fuck it. Im so bored and need a game. Its play this or spend $200 on a logitech G27 wheel and pedals then get an iRacing sub, or I spend $60 on Diablo III. Diablo III wins my cash
I apparently need to stop trying to play, 3 times now when Ive gone to play it's been down for maintenance and today 3 mins in I get a 15 minute notice. This is out of about 6 attempts to play. So glad I bought it >>
Weird, I've had zero issues and didn't even realize it had ever been down. Mezz and I played with some (random?) guy last night, made it up to level 18 and got some gold drops. My DPS is up to 82.52 FYI, it's pretty weird to be playing and all of a sudden people join your game and teleport to you!
That's the spirit! Hope you like the demon hunter, I've been having a blast with it. Up to level 20 now and starting to feel like I know what I'm doing, but I'm going to fall so far behind after being gone this weekend!
Can randoms drop into your game? Ive not had anyone pop in but Ive barely been able to play so who knows. My first miss was about 1pm EST on launch day after installing, then about 6pm after taking my wife to an appointment. Then another lastnight after finishing some MW4 with Damon, Skoll and Orcinus I tried to get on and had just gone down. Then this morning it is kinda starting to piss me off.
Randoms can only join if you set your game to public, but your friends can join at any time it seems. Or friends of your friends, if your friend is already joined.
Yeah, it's been up and down since launch day. I snuck in a solid 5 hours between outages on launch, and got a few hours here and there last night. It's really hit or miss, but a lot depends on when your usual playtimes are. A default game will be private, but you can go to the menu and open it up to the public, and they made the social system really slick, so it's easy to hop in and out of your friend's games. When they figure out the servers I think everyone will be a lot happier.
same here, zero issues so far. just started Act III, and holy shit, the start of Act III! Really liking how boss fights are done, and how the game makes you feel hugely powerful while still making fights tough.
I saw you online yesterday, you were pretty far ahead of me though so I didn't invite, I was just finishing finding the sword fragments and you were in Act II....
Ditto, and I'll be out of town this weekend, so I imagine the folks I'm running with now will all be doing Hell runs by the time I get back online! Always happy to roll a new toon and start fresh, or help somebody blitz their way through some of the earlier portions. Most of the XP and gold comes from finishing quests, so you won't miss out on too much going the direct route. Looking forward to seeing more 'Borg folks in-game!
Can you join a game if the person in the game is ahead of where you are in the game? If I'm act 1, you're act 2, can I join your game or does it have to be reversed?
Do item drops always level to the level you are? As in, if I join my friends game at level 10 and they are in Act III, would the drops be better than what I'm getting in Act I or would they just level to my level?
