Arma II: DayZ Mod

    This article was the first I'd heard of this, but it's a realistic zombie survival mod for Arma II (a first person shooter simulator). Open environment, inevitable death, zombies, player killing, and so on. Sounds like my kind of party, but I'm not quite ready to shell out $20 for Arma II so I can try it out (it's still in alpha stage).

    Anyone else interested in this or who has tried it out? This really grabbed my imagination.

    It certainly interests me, but man, I can't justify buying ANOTHER (Legend of Grimrock, Diablo III, Jagged Alliance: BiA) new game right now, with MWO so close.

    I grabbed Arma 2 Combination Arms or whatever when Amazon had it up for $15 to try it out, cant figure out if my computer is struggling(only tried on laptop) or what. I play a lot of other games that I am pretty sure have much higher requirements.

    Look at this way, you're saving yourself a metric fuckton of frustration.

    They rolled it to version 1.7.1 this afternoon, but all the servers are still on 1.7.0. Have been able to get in game for like 5 minutes, and that was at fucking night where it is pitch black.
