    Saw it today. WTF was with that random dream of the future? And this isn't necessarily a knock on the movie, but Wonderwoman is just weird. Like why would she have this magic lasso, vambraces, and shield? Batman and Superman are based on a origin and their stuff is explained. Not only does Wonder Woman have basically Superman's powers, she also has these random tools that can protect her against anything, although magically even though her legs aren't protected she is fine.

    Wonder Woman always had those.

    What she didn't have in the comics and cartoons was that shield and sword but I could be mistaken.

    And it's the lasso of truth which people can't tell a lie if they are caught up in it.

    Wonder Woman is an Amazon, the sword and shield she's had in several comics, along with several other weapons either from her roman era, or her time with the amazons. She always has the deflection bracers and usually carries the lasso (somehow) the sword and shield is basically the 'big guns' when she knows she's going up against something tough. She's not afraid of using other things either. She's not -as- strong as Superman, but they have different strengths and weaknesses, she's got oodles more experience than most though.

    IIRC, she's almost on Par with Superman simply because he generally holds back. Plus, she's actually got combat training, where Superman just hits stuff until it stays down.

    Well, my point wasn't as much as I know what WW does in lore, but in the context of this movie, which is semi-grounded in "reality", the things she had made no sense.

    wait how do you know the invisible jet wasn't in the movie? i mean it is invisible. it might have been there. you just couldn't see it. also in some crossover wonder woman was the only one who could actually wield thor's hammer (not counting thor himself) superman could but he could only do so because he needed it not because he was worthy. wonder woman was the only one considered worthy. of the DC characters.

    I don't know. I think SS is going to be DC's GotG. And by that I mean it's going to be a sleeper that does surprisingly well. If anything the trailers have a great soundtrack. Though the news of re-shoots are a bit unsettling.
