Besides pictures; I read the game pushed off BFBC2's other DLC. BF3, is suppose to use the new frostbite 2 engine, total dx11. PC is suppose to have up to 64 players, consoles 24. It is suppose to be a PC first, console second.
I am going to have to build a new computer for this one I suspect. My current rig will roll over and die before it runs that.

Scripted is WAY different than "poorly written AI." But I see your point I guess... Exaggerated Example: If I walk up to a door, hold E and then the door/wall blows out, my team rushes in slow mo with helicopters crashing through the building at the same time wiping out 246 of the seemingly 250 baddies inside leaving me 4 dudes to shoot slowmo while they take 3 years to aim their weapons and still miss... that's scripted. The Call of Duty flavor of FPS. If I run into a building and have to sweep room by room against good AI, that's fun. For me, that video is a playable movie until 2 minutes, where it starts to actually show off gameplay. If the game plays like the last 30-45 seconds of the clip, it'll be awesome. If it plays more like all 3 minutes, it'll be really boring SP. To Dihms point, it doesn't look like you have a choice to do anything until after 2 minutes in. Everything is pre-done. If I beat someone to the door by sprinting, then I should breach. If I'm nowhere close, AI should do it. And not the same formation every time. That's probably too much to ask, though. Just my opinion.
Yes I do play SP. Its intro and trailer. It would not be as "drawing you in" if we just threw you down into 2 minutes without getting some 'setup'. Bad AI: AI stackup takes too long and they wait. AI gets stuck in cover. AI has ass hanging out of cover. (I mean like they just cover their heads)
Its a gorgeous game, and I haven't played a good SP FPS in a while, so I'll play it when I'm bored, prolly. But yeah. I'm buying this for MP sooooooooooooo
