    This entire thread is pure speculation at this point. We have no idea if it's single player or multiplayer, this is only what we are hoping for. The only thing we know for sure is that the artwork will be from MWO models and art. Russ confirmed this via Twitter I believe.

    Most likely it will be a Single Player game built around a campaign, since that is what Hairbrained does best.... though I really hope they offer a multiplayer system for the game as well. Having said that they have some awesome mod support for their previous games.

    Yea it sounded like single player as main focus based on the campaign setting. But even so that still jives well with multiplayer with different people commanding lances or the enemy, or just having an arena mode. I hope they do both honestly with custom skirmishes and eventually custom campaigns or mods people can make. Its cool and all, but like 2 years from anything playable.

    I have to admit I was skeptic when I backed Shadowrun Returns, but honestly I was happy with the end result.

    So, I just talked with Jordan.

    • Multi-player arena is a stretch goal
    • Focus is all around story, think Cresent Hawk with better graphics
    • May or may not be hex based, undecided at this time
    • Logistics will be huge. How you get to the front, what supplies you buy and bring, managing MechWarrior skills and keeping them alive
    • Wants to make mech components matter. Different kinds of actuators have different effects on speed and acceleration /deceleration, as an example. High customization
    • No campaign builder to start with, will follow the Shadowrun model
    I backed as a 'vanguard' and got a shit load of dog tags, a special Atlas, and the equivalent monetary amount on the Kickstarter
