Firestarter is a horrible mech, unless all I'm going against are Ents. ;)

I play that song whenever I light things on fire in MegaMek. ;)

  4. And that's why I figured you'd want one.

The Whitworth would probably be a more effective mech killer. Hell keep the LRMs, get some semi-guided ammo and I can spot for you :bananalama:

All LRM ammo is guided ya ninny.

I guess I could "lead from behind" and provide cover fire, since we ain't got none yet besides our air assets.

Fack it, I'm going with a WTH-1. Player info updated accordingly. Do we keep the excess c-bills?

You keep the credit for them, as far as I understand it.

Time to try something rather... ambitious for the 3048 campaign

    Corsair CSR-V13F
    50 tons

    Movement: 7/11
    Engine: 250 XL
    Heat Sinks: 13 [26]

    Structural Integrity: 7
    Armor: 242 [Ferro-Aluminum]
    Nose 77
    Left Wing 55
    Right Wing 55
    Aft 55

    Weapons
    ER Large Laser NOS
    Medium Pulse Laser NOS
    Medium Pulse Laser LWG
    Medium Pulse Laser LWG
    Medium Pulse Laser RWG
    Medium Pulse Laser RWG
    Medium Pulse Laser AFT

    Equipment
    Beagle Active Probe NOS

    Downgrades:
XL engine can be swapped out for a standard variety; downgrading all of the medium pulse lasers to regular medium lasers
ER Large Laser can be replaced by a regular Large Laser
Beagle Active Probe can be switched for some additional armor and another Medium Laser
Ferro-Aluminium armor can be switched to same tonnage of Standard Armor

Don't want that fucker strafing me...

Should be running pretty toasty, especially with the downgrade.

That variant would have to be scrapped if Double Heat Sinks are not available (as I suspect they may be)

I don't even want to imagine having to use Single Heat Sinks on that...

If it's for 3048, then yeah, you should be able to use Double Heat Sinks.

Again, we don't know if Magnus is allowing us to spend our excess money on upgrading to non-'25 tech.

From the four or five discussions I've had with him, yes we should be allowed. After the Time skip occurs, of course.... Like I said, when I have the C-bills, I'll be swapping out whatever mech I end up with for this last 3036 mission that is left, for a Cataphract with the A/C-20. I'd just swap out that A/C-20 for a Gauss Rifle. Mangus and I were talking about the feasibility of that, so I'm assuming he's allowing it.

Wait... were we talking about different piles of C-Bills? I was referring to the "credit" that we have personally. Once that credit of C-bills per person gets high enough, then we can upgrade 'mechs and such. If you were talking about the Companies coffers, then no....

Yeah, we'll find out when Magnus gets back and such... Hell, at this rate, he's doing a lot of work for this campaign. We'll have to thank him profusely for it.

I was thinking filing his inbox with links for Russian Brides, but your ideas are probably better.
