I'd recommend VW, but the '14 Jetta's feel very small, for my 6'4" frame. However, they are a nice drive, and the TDI's/TSI's are good on fuel.
Eh, they don't really have any small hatchbacks that are worth it. They're subcombact hatchs get fuckall for mpg, and/or use premium
I don't know That's a pretty good curve in the fuel milage. I'm partial to the Golf's myself, and you can get the 2 door... but if you do want the best fuel milage, don't look at the gas engines, look at the diesels.
6 doors would be nice. Why do people want coupes? You can't fit stuff in it. The way to handle it would be some sort of really big SUV or a minibus/van which can carry a motorbike with it. That's the carrier-scout combo. I don't want actual beds and such though. At the point when I can afford stuff like that, I'd prefer to sleep in a hotel and eat in the adjacent restaurant. Ideal situation would be if I had a remote operated robot to represent me so I wouldn't need to exit home. Surrogate robot if you will.
I'm from ostrobothnia. There is no public transportation here and no one gives a shit about pedestrians. It's the pedestrians who take care so they don't get run over. You *could* use a train, for instance, just you have to get to the train first and it doesn't take you where you want, but just in the general region of your destination. And it costs more than flying. Fuck that. There's only like 4 trains a day in any case, so the intervals suck as well and... you can't really bring any stuff with you, can you? Buses, we don't have. They cost more than trains and there are weird limitations like no buses after people get from work etc. and very weird and sparse schedules in any case. And like trains, they have extremely thin coverage so you don't get to where you want to go and you still can't bring much anything with you. I tells ya, public transportation is for those 30 year old hippies in the capital that don't have any kids. Over here we drive so we don't end up as bear food. There was just recently a bear that was wondering downtown near one of our biggest markets. It's quite different to the capital, not that they'd give a shit about the provinces. In the contrary, I've heard people from capital seriously talk about how selfish some people are that they want to live in town houses etc. instead of high-rises. "Everyone should live in a single city made up of high-rises except for the elite".
Huh. I was just giving you shit. I understand that there are places, like where you live, where an SUV is useful and pretty much necessary. But over here most people with SUVs drive them in the city where they're way too damn big and unnecessary. Also, don't be afraid to feed the bears. They're good people.
Because I'm too old, I want an automatic, and I like German design and styling? If they offered the Fiesta or Focus with an auto/cvt I'd consider it
Yep! And Chris convinced me to let go of my "fuck it if it takes premium" policy. Taking a '15 GTI for a spin on the 12th
