I was telling either Skwi or Chris that I'd love DeLorean, but then they told me how awful they drive. Here's hoping your car doesn't suck.
Od course the Deloran drives like shit, it was built using Irish union labour and financed by drug money. There is a company in Texas that rebuilds/manufactures them now, but they cost $50,000.00....I'd take a Mustang GT, or BMW for that kind of cash, or a used Viper.
I can assure you mine drives fine, it is based on the AM V8 but slightly longer with more luxury and electric every thing. Although 31 years old she is quite capable of keeping up with most modern cars, with a top speed of 150mph, I have toured around Europe in it on several occasions completing over 3000 mile on each trip, and as you can see in one of the pictures I attended the Queens 80th Birthday celebrations in it and because of its rarity we have been invited to many events. All in all a great car to own.
Boy, the front end of that thing really comes to a point doesn't it! You'd chop someone in half if you ever hit them.
When i get rich and buy some land I want to build a dirt track so I can learn to do this Flat track racing has to be one of the most impressive motorsports I have ever watched. 100mph going into the turn but YOU DON'T HAVE BRAKES
Nearly all the ones around here are black or red. I wanted to paint it blue, but the white grew on me, then there were all those timing issues...
My uncle was a motorcycle and snow machine racer back in the 1970's and 80's. He actually won the Iron Dog back in in 1985. If you don't know what that is, imagine the Iditarod sled dog race but with snow machines going 80 mph in -50 degree cold, with duct tap on the riders' faces to prevent frostbite. This is the race that Tod Palin was in when he broke an arm after his machine wiped out so bad that the front control arm broke, requiring a new one to be flown in. When asked if he wanted be flown back to the hospital Mr. Palin refused and finished the race one handed. 1,000 miles... In the snow and ice... Going 50+ mph... With a fucking broken arm. Alaaaaaaaska FUCK YEAH!
If I ever have my balls removed I'll be sure to take your advice, Alaska. And that pic is before the headers and 2.5" exhaust. I love the wide wheels too, PC. They work really well with the body style.
I was joking... I do like the look of the car. I love over sized tires with plain, utilitarian wheels.
I figured you were. If that joke was a bit harsh, I apologize. I really hate the Prius and the smart car. I will gladly switch to a car that gets better mileage and has better emissions, as long as it isn't one of those two. I'm actually considering an Audi right now. Those wheels were so cheap, too. 15x8 up front and 15x10 in the rear. Some people had issues riding in it because the rear suspension was really stiff to keep the tires away from the fenders/wells.
I hate the Prius and smart car with a passion. And the people who drive them; smug, arrogant, self congratulatory bastards. They try to solve a global warming problem that does not exist by driving around a "no/low emissions" car which runs on a giant, toxic, actual environment destroying batteries and plugs into the power grid...which is ran on coal and oil......
