they haven't said what they'll do with those yet but they've repeatedly said they want to do "something" worthwhile for those who had them as part of their package. i kept mine fwiw. from their FAQ. it's worth noting too that you'll be able to buy VIP tickets back at the same value if you melt them now. or you can buy them in 1yr chunks instead of paying monthly and get a discount ($140 instead of 12x$15=180)
I assume you can redeem / melt stuff after this price increase also? Or are we stuck as far as we know? EDIT: Whatevs, I just flipped my VIPs and extra character slot (eh don't think I really need to be playing multiple anyway) plus $10 for 5 small kickstarter forts. With the new pricing that'll come out to $1500, which is enough for a small castle after the fact assuming I can flip it again. If not I'll have a big ass wooden fort with a bunch of villages, we can guild combo our stuff anyway so its not like it won't be useful.
Well, literally 8 days ago it would've been 100x cheaper to get cool stuff, but just the game is $45 https://backers.crowfall.com/#/pledge
Anything from $5 to $1000. Basically whatever you're willing to spend, they probably have a pledge package in your price range. 2016 Supporter Bundle - $5 2016 Contributor Bundle - $45 2016 Backer Bundle - $70 2016 Bronze Bundle - $100 2016 Gold Bundle - $180 2016 Amber Bundle - $250 2016 Sapphire Bundle - $500 2016 Ruby Bundle - $1000 Crowfall Collector's Edition - $180 As you can see, their pricing is pretty linear. It doesn't start making big jumps until the later bundles. You can also put a bundle on layaway. Basically, pay an entrance fee of whatever you can afford, then pay the rest off over time. There's also upgrading bundles to a better bundle where you only pay the difference between the bundles. Bundles.
So 45USD gets me the game in total then? Because there seems to be more than enough real-estate in the Borg for me to park my butt on. Also - are they sticking to the Minecraft style "Build your own fortress" deal that was in the earliest trailers?
They put up some more info and some nice concept art on fortresses here: http://crowfall.com/en/news/the-411-on-strongholds/ Looks like we're past the window now, though.
That's rather enormous. Gonna be fun! Just as long as there's a buy-in end of October so I can join in on shenanigans. I'll even take stewardship of a wooden motte-and-bailey if there's any bits left. It's just that the crowdfunding for this came at a shitty time for me originally but it still looked cool.
Yea I just bought a lot of wooden forts with some farm parcels. I figure we can put 'em outside the main fortifications as minor guard posts for some of the farming, etc, activity. Building a giant cooperative lego set will be fun.
