I've been thinking about giving my future/current characters a single over arching life goal, which I think seems to be left out for the most part in our games. So for Midnight for example, it might to find a way to return home. If every character has one of these, I think it would keep downtime from devolving into the "I watch the shop" syndrome we get every once in a while. Instead, I could say, "I do research on transient planar alignments" or some such thing, make a roll of some kind, and get a tidbit of story. Might also force some in-character RP between party members, which frankly we do very little of. What do you think? Would that be too much extra work for the DM?
Couple of things. Many of the characters have a purpose, but it is up to them to share it. Haki is right, we could use some RP. Also, this Thursday is the last day I need to be involved in a Girl Scout capacity until like December, but I need to be at a meeting. So, cancel in advance this time. Cheers!
I'll be up for it. Just always seems like we are pressed for time, juggling the game with our off shoot ideas and crazy antics. But you want it? You got it! (Think last time I tried it people thought I was being a dick, but it was another character that had terrible CHA ) As for purpose, sure i'll share it here. Funny enough his purpose is to keep everyone together and here with him, he doesn't want to lose anyone else or go back to being alone. Happiness? Not so much a factor, that will come in time and if anyone has alot of time on their hand, its Rhombus. As for a more active overarching goal? Hmm, I guess that would be it, to try to endear himself with everyone. He dosent expect it to happen now or soon but he can work towards in steps. (Or grow alot of gardens.....one or the other )
Bad news guys, I was looking at my upcoming schedule and I have 5 books to write in two weeks for a convention. This means no gaming this week, next week, or the week after I won't be able to play until June 9th. Ouch.
I tell you what though. I will introduce new NPCs on June 9th that use the material I have to write. You guys will get to see the first Dragonblooded characters in this campaign. Before anyone in the world has access to them. Now, back to writing.
I have seen that one before. Always brings a smile to my face. 5E Adventure is written and in editing. First race book is planned and being typed very rapidly. 2nd is right on its heels. Planar travel book is in the works, but probably won't make it by the Con. Add to that a few NPC books and we have ourselves a party.

I have a big big big big big announcement later today. As in huge big. As in 3rd largest in the nation big.
Alright, big announcement is fairly official. So here goes: Salt Lake Comic Con, as in the 3rd largest Comic Con in the nation, has bought half of Salt Lake Gaming Con (the convention I am currently working on). This has two very interesting side effects. First, our convention next week just got much bigger. We had 15,000 people last year (our first year). We were expecting 25,000 to 30,000 people this year. There is only 1 week left, but we expect it to be even bigger. Second, as part of this deal, we are taking over gaming at Salt Lake Comic Con in September. I will be helping organize gaming, especially tabletop gaming, at the 3rd largest comic con in the nation. Exact details are not 100% solid, but yeah, that is gonna be hella fun.
One of the Paizo devs is feeding me tidbits from Paizo Con. Coming 2017, Starfinder... Fully compatible, OGL license, stand alone RPG.
Sadly, it looks like I must cancel my game for tonight, my mom is in town and desires to spend time with me... no idea why XD
