Since we're discussing D&D, I'd like to share two gems with you good folk.

Rich Burlew has been writing this webcomic for nearly ten years. My gaming group has used the quips herein so many times it shouldn't be funny anymore... but it still leaves us in stitches. I offer you all The Order of the Stick.

Okay, take one of the greatest (IMO) fantasy stories of all time, and retell it as if it were played out by a group of stereotypical D&D players. Okay, I'll just tell you all - this shit is funny. I mean, uncontrollable-laughter-pop-out-the-nose funny. I've sprayed Dr. Pepper across more than one keyboard because of this webcomic. Here it is: DM of the Rings.

    Enjoy!

Nice Veor! I read both of those, and if you don't know Darths and Droids is a Star Wars version of Dm of the Rings... by the same guys!

THREAD REVIVAL!!! Just a update on one of the campaigns I"m in. We just survived a dungeon spanning water trap, which the water level was 10 feet high, and most of the rooms/halls were the same height. A few were 12 feet, and we just barely got out. All the while, zombies that reformed in 1d4 rounds after being 'killed' were chasing us. Some hairy stuff.

Yep, got out to find a Kender bard, and while in the dungeon, we also attained a paladin from the city that used to reside over the dungeon.... Strange I know. I might, at some point that I have time, do a full write up of the background/characters.

I love OotS. They just don't update it fast enough for my liking. And Belkar has to be the best character of them all.

Sortof kindof. Our DM allowed one of the party to use a Kender bard from Dragonlance. Basically the campaign rules are:
Restrictions on books are: anything you can show me. No Book of Nine swords, or Races of War.
Rules to take into account: Encumbrance, Sanity, Rolling for age/height/weight Can take flaws, but they must be run by the DM.

Ah, thought it was a DL campaign there for a moment. I remember reading the Dragons trilogy back in elementary school. Such a great world. I stopped reading the stuff once it pushed out into the extended universe stuff.

Yep, I've lost 3 points out of 70... We were fighting werewolfs, (which my character was bitten, but DM rolled my saves, so I don't know if I'm infected) and we just managed to kill one of them. That werewolf turned into a 11 year old kid. So loss of sanity. LOL

Ever play Call of Cthulhu/Age of Cthulhu/Arkham Asylum RPGs? Insanity is part and parcel of the game. :shootself:

So do I. I own the PS TCG, the PC game PS:T, and some of the rule books/planes manuals. Such an epic place for PnP RPG'ing.

My friend desperately wanted to run some You-Know-Who-lu games a few years ago. Unfortunately, we already had too many PnP campaigns going, so he shelved the project.

Why did they have to stop this series? Such a unique setting, cool characters, great writing, good visuals and, and... okay i'll stop now
