I'm kinda pissed at this jennings journalist guy. It could be the articles on him are just written in a way that makes it sound like he is trying to take credit when he isnt. But quote from 06 or 08 is like "i gave the fbi the stuff that got this started". The fbi was investigating from the first time blatter became president. Supposedly. But the scale of this just isnt something of the scale of a few years investigation.

 

Yeah, I read through a long article on him, and was left with the same impression.

Though he has been at it for a bit longer than a few years - closer to ten, I'd say, and had dug up some dirt on the whole ISL thing.

 

he may have had some stuff but from his own comments it sounded more like he was fishing but didn't have much actual concrete stuff.

 

seems the FBI is broadening investigation to cover the 2018/2022 world cup votes now. so it's no longer just the swiss investigating that vote.

 

Few years and there'll be a movie where Ben Affleck plays him and he's like this journalist ninja that uncovers all the deep throats and is chased by FIFA hitmen and KGB across Paris and Eiffel Tower and Louvre are destroyed beyond recognition by the ensuing firefight where he literally shoots hundreds of people in foreign country but none of that hits the news or leads to any follow up legalities or such. It just all goes away with fade to black.

Well it does star riots in england. Baseball teams have some pretty big riots too. Or used to. But i think its only a few of the midwestern teams.

 

In every european country outside UK there are looong lists of unwanted british citizens that do not have access to these countries especially during games.

That's because some british actually mistook themselves to be vikings raiding these cities and trashed the hell out of everything. They didn't however carry back loot or rape anyone so they weren't quite vikings either. I don't know what they are, they probably don't know themselves and no one wants them around.

I bet if they tried to cross the channel in small rafts the french and german fleets would sink them without mercy while spanish and italians provided logistics and air cover.

huh. I was watching a little bit of the Norway/Thiland game for the women's world cup. and besides the Norway team wearing red (which norway is always in red I think) it also helps when most of the players are blondes. it's kind of a dead giveaway for a scandanavian country.
