I didn't, I didn't have much time before we had to set up for the game night so I just dove right in. Then again, I've opened my map like 3 times.
Is it living up to your expectations? I didn't get a chance to get my preorder in because of a work deadline that I had to wrap-up. Thus, I am going to now hold my purchase until after I hear a few player reviews from people I know.
Well, from the couple hours I got to play it, "hell yes". The combat is actually rather fun and tactical.

I'm REALLY digging this game. Brings back a lot of what I missed about the genre. I'm having to pry myself away from the computer for the first time in a long while. You'll either have learned this for yourself, or will soon. Spend your Mage's starting skill points wisely. Air.. is a little useless at Lv1.
I can't wait to find Poison Shield (or whatever its called, heard about it). :/ Or hell, any of the Spellcraft spells.
I'm back on the 1st floor, had to start over since i totally fracked up my mages allocation so he spent the first 1 to 1.5 floors unable to do anything
yeah right off the bat I had missed a secret room with rogue boots in it. so I'm gonna be more mindful of secret doors and such. also in the dungeon area with the teleporter at the end...if you keep hitting the button after you kill the skeleton the bag eventually pops out at the end of the hall where you can get it.
yeah forget where...I dunno if they're specifically Rogue boots per se, but they had +4 to evasion i think. I'll loook when I get on to it later!
After having my party 3/4ths wiped (leaving my swordsman alone to track down a rest-stone on Lv4) I'm thinking about starting again with two evasive meatshields in the front rank instead of one dodgy one and one painfully slow but well armored one.
